# beer-manager-hibernate-search Project

This project uses Quarkus, the Supersonic Subatomic Java Framework.

If you want to learn more about Quarkus, please visit its website: https://quarkus.io/ .

## Running the application in dev mode

You can run your application in dev mode that enables live coding using:
```shell script
./mvnw compile quarkus:dev
```

> **_NOTE:_**  Quarkus now ships with a Dev UI, which is available in dev mode only at http://localhost:8080/q/dev/.

## Packaging and running the application

The application can be packaged using:
```shell script
./mvnw package
```
It produces the `quarkus-run.jar` file in the `target/quarkus-app/` directory.
Be aware that it’s not an _über-jar_ as the dependencies are copied into the `target/quarkus-app/lib/` directory.

The application is now runnable using `java -jar target/quarkus-app/quarkus-run.jar`.

If you want to build an _über-jar_, execute the following command:
```shell script
./mvnw package -Dquarkus.package.type=uber-jar
```

The application, packaged as an _über-jar_, is now runnable using `java -jar target/*-runner.jar`.

## Creating a native executable

You can create a native executable using: 
```shell script
./mvnw package -Pnative
```

Or, if you don't have GraalVM installed, you can run the native executable build in a container using: 
```shell script
./mvnw package -Pnative -Dquarkus.native.container-build=true
```

You can then execute your native executable with: `./target/beer-manager-hibernate-search-1.0.0-SNAPSHOT-runner`

# SNIK Quiz

## Usage
Play at http://www.snik.eu/quiz by clicking on the correct answer for each of the questions.

## Development
Requires `npm` and a Linux style command line with tools like `sed`.

### Create Questions

* There are several types of questions which have a template each.
* The questions from all templates are merged into a [JavaScript file](src/data/quiz-data.js).
* Recreating the questions is only necessary when the templates have been changed or the data on the [SNIK SPARQL endpoint](https://www.snik.eu/sparql) has changed in a way that should be reflected in the questions.
* Recreating the questions is a partially automated process.

#### Process

subject.sparql depends on the graph http://www.snik.eu/ontology/derived.
For each template:

1. Execute the SPARQL query in the `sparql` directory, for example [definition.sparql](sparql/definition.sparql). You may need to disable "Strict checking of void variables" in the Virtuoso SPARQL Query Editor.
2. Save the output as a tab separated values (TSV) file, such as `definition.tsv`.
3. Use the transformation script to create a JavaScript  for example `./transform-definition < input > definition.js`
4. The transformation file may not be correct, use a text editor with search and replace to create a syntactically correct JavaScript array.

At the end, use the existing [quiz-data.js](src/data/quiz-data.js) to get the header and footer and add the contents of the template arrays.

#### Question Templates

* Name: Given a definition, choose between the names of 4 "similar" classes to find the correct one.

##### Add a new Question Template
Create the files as required by the process.

### Run Locally
`npm start`

### Deploy to GitHub Pages

    npm run build
    ./deploy

Almost all the code is from https://github.com/davidrayoussef/react-quiz so we just supply the LICENSE file of that project. With our additional code you can do whatever you want. The question data is probably in the same category as https://github.com/IMISE/snik.

This demo is deployed on [heroku](https://www.heroku.com/) and sleeps after 30 minutes of inactivity. 
Your first request could be slow if it occurs when the application is sleeping. In this case, please retry a few seconds after your first request.

**SpringBoot version** 2.1.0 or higher

### Usage
Clone, build and start as any other SpringBoot application.

spring-boot-starter-data-search-jpa-demo comes with an embedded h2 and the customers' table is initialized 
on startup with 10000 documents. 

If you want to deactivate the data init, or you want more data for your tests, 
you can adapt the configuration file.

#### Search API

By default, with  [data-search](https://github.com/commerce-io/spring-boot-starter-data-search), all customer fields become searchable.
