Gradle not recognizing Java 10+ methods
            Asked 2019-Sep-09 at 13:25

so i tried to use methods List.copyOf and Collectors.toUnmodifiableList but both methods are not getting recognized by gradle hence compiling fails, but they are recognized in the IDE.

I checked everything and everything is using Java 11; project bytecode, sdk, gradle jvm, ... I also tried upgrading Gradle (version 5.6.2) but that did not fix the problem. I am running Java 11.0.4 by AdoptOpenJDK.

            build.gradle

            Example of using both methods:

After one days of tests, since I had your exact same issue and the top level + module level gradle files looks very close to mine i've found out that removing lombok dependency would make it work. Still don't know exactly why this happens but looks like a problem that lombok devs should solve. I'm gonna open an issue on github as well

I am attempting to run a test that first opens chrome (performs test) and then opens up IE (performs test)

Even though I have all my firefox code commented out, geb decides to open up firefox instead of IE for some reason.
