QUESTION
New to Lua and Love2D here! I'm trying to finish a final project for this online course I'm taking, and I want to know how I could make a sprite disappear. Currently, I have it so that the player is in one class, and anything to do with the map (so tiles and background) in another. I want to write so that if the player hits a specific tile, then that tile disappears, and a counter goes up. I know that there was a similar question about this regarding the cs50 gamedev course with balls, but I didn't understand much of the code, so I'm hoping someone could help me. My map.lua
looks like this:

Answered 2020-Aug-24 at 19:57It seems your code handles collisions and I'm assuming it works, my guess would be to replace the SHUSHI2 cell you're colliding to the EMPTY cell value in the grid so that it would be destroyed. Suppose you want to destroy a SUSHI2 block when you're falling, you could go with this solution:
