QUESTION
I have recently started debugging the mserver5
application using vscode
and a very comfy plugin for cmake
called CMake Tools
. Moreover, I am using gcc 9.3.0 (Ubuntu 9.3.0-17ubuntu1~20.04)
as a compiler together with the following launch.json
debug configuration for mserver5
in vscode
:
ANSWER
Answered 2021-May-07 at 18:07If your database was created using monetdb
and you want to start it directly using mserver5
, you need to tell mserver5
where the .vaultkey
is.
In you dbfarm
, do a grep monet_vault_key merovingian.log
, copy the whole --set monet_vault_key=//dbfarm/demo/.vaultkey
and add this option to the start-up command of your mserver5
.
QUESTION
json([ name='Demo term',
created=json([day= @null, month='December', year=2007]),
confirmed= @true,
members=[1, 2, 3]
])
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Feb-13 at 17:55There is nothing special about this syntax really:
json/1
is a compound term with list as only paramter.
That list has entries
name='Demo term'
created=json([day= @null, month='December', year=2007])
confirmed= @true
members=[1, 2, 3]
evidently trying to emulate a map keyword -> value:
- The keyword
name
is associated to the atom 'Demo term' (in single quotes because it contains a space and starts with uppercase - The keyword
created
is associated with the complex compound termjson([day= @null, month='December', year=2007])
- The keyword
confirmed
is associated with the compound term@true
, better written@(true)
. - The keyword
member
is associated with the list[1,2,3]

The JSON constants true and false are mapped -like JPL- to @(true) and @(false). The JSON constant null is mapped to the Prolog term @(null)

QUESTION
According to a pdf, which was shared in a previous post about tooltips, on page 70, it mentions the possibility to draw bar charts. However, a picture mentions "work in progress" and indeed, Rascal does not seem to support this.
Is there already a possibility to draw a horizontal axis, representing a bar chart, where the text of the categories can be written?
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jan-09 at 14:31You can use hcat
and vcat
to put labels under the respective boxes. For example you could draw a bar and its label wrapped in a vcat
and then hcat
all bars next to eachother, aligned at the bottom using something like hcat([b1, b2, b3],std(bottom()))
.

Install cwi
You can use cwi like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
