In Pandas, the method that returns specified columns from the DataFrame is the get() method. If we specify only one column, the return value is a Pandas Series object, and to specify more than one column, specify the columns inside an array. Then the result will be a new DataFrame object. 


To get or retrieve the index of a Pandas DataFrame, then call DataFrame.index property. This property returns an index object representing the index of this DataFrame. To access the Pandas DataFrame by column index, use DataFrame.loc[] and DataFrame. iloc[] to select a single required column or multiple columns that we want from Pandas DataFrame by column names/labels or index position respectively. loc[] is used with column labels/name, whereas iloc[] is used with column index/position. 


We can create a DataFrame from different tuples, and we can even choose the specific elements of the tuples we want to use. Program execution is faster when manipulating a tuple than the equivalent list, and sometimes we do not want data to be modified. Suppose the values inside the collection will remain constant for the program's life. In that case, we use a tuple instead of a list to guard against accidental modification. There is another Python data type that we will encounter shortly called a dictionary, which requires a value of an immutable type as one of its components. A tuple can be used for this case, whereas a list cannot be.
