Solution Kit Solution Kit

A web application may offer two distinct user interfaces for various user types: an admin view and a user view. Admins and other privileged users who can administer and maintain the program are often the target audience for the admin view. On the other hand, the user view is usually made for frequent users of the program and may have a more straightforward interface with fewer options and capabilities. To toggle between user and admin view in react:

  • First, create a piece of state in your component to track whether the user is an admin or not. This can be done by using ‘isAdmin’ property.
  • isAdmin: This is typically a boolean value that indicates whether the current user is an administrator or not.
  • Then, create a method that toggles the value of isAdmin between ‘true’ or ‘false.’ This method will be called when the user clicks a button to switch between user and admin views.
  • Use a conditional statement to verify the value of the isAdmin state attribute in the component's render() function.
  • Add a button to the component that calls the toggle method when it is clicked. This button can be used to switch between the user and admin views.

For more information about toggling between the user and admin view in React, refer to the code given below.

You can also refer this url 'DEMO' for getting the above output.

I hope you found this useful. I have added the link to dependent libraries, version information in the following sections.

I found this code snippet by searching for 'how to toggle between admin user view in react' in kandi. You can try any such use case!

Environment Tested

I tested this solution in the following versions. Be mindful of changes when working with other versions.

  1. The solution is created in Visual Studio Code 1.73.1.
  2. The solution is tested on node v18.12.1 and npm v8.19.2.
  3. React version-18.2.0.

Using this solution, we are able to toggle between admin/user view in React with simple steps. This process also facilities an easy way to use, hassle-free method to create a hands-on working version of code which would help us to toggle between admin/user view in React.
