In Python, it is always a good approach to nicely format the output of our program to make it easier to understand and interpret. For that, there are some light and useful Python packages for tabulating output lists follows.

  • pandas-compat: it is a package that provides API compatibility across versions to downstream libraries that use pandas and this compatibility layer requires pandas version >=0.17.
  • Pandas: it is a Python library for data analysis and is built on top of two core Python libraries that are matplotlib used for data visualization and NumPy used for mathematical operations in Python. It acts as a wrapper over these libraries and allows us to access many of matplotlib's and NumPy's methods with less code. Pandas .plot() combines multiple matplotlib methods into a single method that enables us to plot a chat in a few lines.
  • NumPy: it is a Python library used for working with arrays and it also has functions for working in the domain of linear algebra, matrices, and Fourier transform. It stands for Numerical Python.

Here is an example of how to display text in table format using Pandas in Python:

Fig : Preview of the output that you will get on running this code from your IDE.

Code

In this solution we're using Pandas and NumPy libraries.

Instructions

Follow the steps carefully to get the output easily.

  1. Install pandas on your IDE(Any of your favorite IDE).
  2. Copy the snippet using the 'copy' and paste it in your IDE.
  3. Add required dependencies and import them in Python file.
  4. Run the file to generate the output.

I hope you found this useful. I have added the link to dependent libraries, version information in the following sections.

I found this code snippet by searching for 'How to display text in table format using pandas in python' in kandi. You can try any such use case!

Environment Tested

I tested this solution in the following versions. Be mindful of changes when working with other versions.

  1. The solution is created in PyCharm 2021.3.
  2. The solution is tested on Python 3.9.7.
  3. Pandas version-v1.5.2.
  4. NumPy version-v1.24.0.

Using this solution, we are able to display text in table format using pandas in python with simple steps. This process also facilities an easy way to use, hassle-free method to create a hands-on working version of code which would help us to display text in table format using pandas in python.
