A great friend does silly and wonderful things with custom-made electronics and visualization tools and got inspired when watching Star Wars Episode I and saw the radar screen in the background of this scene:. He wanted a python version of that, along with an API to control the sweep speed, direction and any other little visual ideas that came along. I’m loving python and hadn’t used pygame before, so it seemed natural to use that. This is working, but is very much still a work in progress.
