In Python, we can use XlsxWriter as an engine for Pandas ExcelWriter class to output a DataFrame to Excel, and the module we can use to write text, formulas, numbers, and hyperlinks for multiple worksheets in an Excel 2007 XLSX file. It supports formatting and many more features, including fully compatible Excel XLSX files.

Pandas is a python data analysis library, and it can read, filter and rearrange small and large data sets and then output them in various formats, including Excel. It writes Excel files using the Xlwt module for xls files. The Openpyxl and XlsxWriter modules for xlsx files. XlsxWriter module provides various methods to work with Excel using Python and can be used to read, write, and apply formulas. It also supports features such as images, formatting, charts, auto filters, page setup, conditional formatting, etc. We can write a DataFrame to an excel sheet with the extension.xlsx and use the pandas to_excel() function. It writes a single DataFrame to an excel file by default. For reading an excel file as a data frame, use the pandas read_excel() method to read the excel file data into a DataFrame object, and if we look at an excel sheet, it is a two-dimensional table. The DataFrame object also represents a two-dimensional tabular data structure in pandas.

Here is an example of how you can implement XlsxWriter in Pandas and outside of pandas Lockout in Python:

Fig : Preview of the output that you will get on running this code from your IDE.

Code

In this solution we're using Pandas and Xlsxwriter libraries.

Instructions

Follow the steps carefully to get the output easily.

  1. Install pandas on your IDE(Any of your favorite IDE).
  2. Copy the snippet using the 'copy' and paste it in your IDE.
  3. Add required dependencies and import them in Python file.
  4. Run the file to generate the output.

I hope you found this useful. I have added the link to dependent libraries, version information in the following sections.

I found this code snippet by searching for 'xlsxwriter in pandas and outside the pandas lockout' in kandi. You can try any such use case!

Environment Tested

I tested this solution in the following versions. Be mindful of changes when working with other versions.

  1. The solution is created in PyCharm 2021.3.
  2. The solution is tested on Python 3.9.7.
  3. Pandas version-v1.5.2.
  4. XlsxWriter version-current.

Using this solution, we are able to implement XlsxWriter in pandas and outside of pandas lockout with simple steps. This process also facilities an easy way to use, hassle-free method to create a hands-on working version of code which would help us to XlsxWriter in pandas and outside of pandas lockout.
