DAG | DAG tool supports traversal of a Directed Acyclic Graph

kandi X-RAY | DAG Summary
The DAG tool supports traversal of a Directed Acyclic Graph (also known here as DAG). The tool is implemented in C++ using a templated Node class alongside a visitor algorithm. A Floodfill algorithm is also provided which groups together nodes which are connected and returns a vector which contains vectors of connected nodes.

QUESTION
I'm currently migrating a DAG from airflow version 1.10.10 to 2.0.0.
This DAG uses a custom python operator where, depending on the complexity of the task, it assigns resources dynamically. The problem is that the import used in v1.10.10 (airflow.contrib.kubernetes.pod import Resources) no longer works. I read that for v2.0.0 I should use kubernetes.client.models.V1ResourceRequirements, but I need to build this resource object dynamically. This might sound dumb, but I haven't been able to find the correct way to build this object.
For example, I've tried with

QUESTION
i need to check if all the tasks of my dag were marked as successful so that in the last task of the dag it sends an email to me to notify if all were successful or if any failed.
here is a piece of code that i tried:
...ANSWER
Answered 2022-Jan-13 at 09:42By default, every task in Airflow should succeed for a next task to start running. So if your email-task is the last task in your DAG, that automatically means all previous tasks have succeeded.
Alternatively, you could configure on_success_callback
and on_failure_callback
on your DAG, which executes a given callable. This passes in arguments to determine whether the DAG run failed or succeeded:
QUESTION
I am trying to access the content(json data) of a file which is passed as input artifacts to a script template. It is failing with the following error NameError: name 'inputs' is not defined. Did you mean: 'input'?
My artifacts are being stored in aws s3 bucket. I've also tried using environment variables instead of directly referring the artifacts directly in script template, but it is also not working.
Here is my workflow
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-28 at 16:34In the last template, replace {{inputs.artifacts.result}}
with ”/tmp/templates_lst.txt”
.
inputs.artifacts.NAME
has no meaning in the source
field, so Argo leaves it as-is. Python tries to interpret it as code, which is why you get an exception.
The proper way to communicate an input artifact to Python in Argo is to specify the artifact destination (which you’ve done) in the templates input definition. Then in Python, use files from that path the same way you would do in any Python app.
QUESTION
I tried to use transform and padding on my element, but it didn't work quite well when you resize your window. It sometimes even goes out of my window. I tried to transform one like 60% to the right and the other one 40%, but that didn't work too. So I want my element to be stuck together with an iframe.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-23 at 11:16Nest your code in a wrapper
and use position: sticky;
. Also, you were using a lot of padding which seemed unnecessary so I removed it. See the CSS changes I made below.
QUESTION
I created a WorkflowTemplate
in which I want to pass result of a script template as an input parameter to another task
Here is my WorkflowTemplate
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-17 at 15:341. Fully define your output parameters
Your output parameter spec is incomplete. You need to specify where the output parameter comes from.
Since you have multiple output parameters, you can't just use standard out ({{tasks.prepare-lst.outputs.parameters.result}}
). You have to write two files and derive an output parameter from each.
2. Load the JSON array so it's iterable
If you iterate over the string representation of the array, you'll just get one character at a time.
3. Use an environment variable to pass input to Python
Although it's not strictly necessary, I consider it best practice. If a malicious actor had the ability to set the message
parameter, they could inject Python into your workflow. Pass the parameter as an environment variable so the string remains a string.

QUESTION
For a requirement I want to call/invoke a cloud function from inside a cloud composer pipeline but I cant find much info on it, I tried using SimpleHTTP airflow operator but I get this error:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Sep-10 at 12:41I think you are looking for: https://airflow.apache.org/docs/apache-airflow-providers-google/stable/_api/airflow/providers/google/cloud/operators/functions/index.html#airflow.providers.google.cloud.operators.functions.CloudFunctionInvokeFunctionOperator
Note that in order to use in 1.10 you need to have backport provider packages installed (but I believe they are installed by default) and version of the operator might be slightly different due to backport packages not being released for quite some time already.

QUESTION
Many programming languages today have happens-before
relation and release+acquire
synchronization operations.
Some of these programming languages:
- C/C++11: happens-before, release+acquire
- Rust and Swift adopted the C/C++ memory model in its entirety — so they have that too.
- Java: happens-before, release+acquire.
I would like to know if release+acquire
can violate happens-before
:
- if it's possible, then I would like to see an example
- if it's impossible, then I would like to get simple and clear explanations why
release+acquire
and happens-before
Release/acquire
establishes happens-before
relation between different threads: in other words everything before release
in Thread 1
is guaranteed to be visible in Thread 2
after acquire

Happens-before relationship cannot be "violated", as it is a guarantee. Meaning, if you established it in a correct way, it will be there, with all its implications (unless there is a bug in the compiler).
However, establishing just any happens-before relationship doesn't guarantee that you've avoided all possible race conditions. You need to establish carefully chosen relationships between relevant operations, that will eliminate all scenarios when data race is possible.

QUESTION
Receiving below error in task logs when running DAG:
FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'beeline': 'beeline'
This is my DAG:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Oct-29 at 06:41The 'run_as_user' feature uses 'sudo' to switch to airflow
user in non-interactive mode. The sudo
comand will never (no matter what parameters you specify including -E) preserve PATH variable unless you do sudo in --interactive mode (logging in by the user). Only in the --interactive mode the user's .profile , .bashrc and other startup scripts are executed (and those are the scripts that set PATH for the user usually).
All non-interactive 'sudo' command will have path set to secure_path
set in /etc/sudoers file.

QUESTION

As mentioned in the comment section by @LEC
this configuration is compatible with Cloud Composer V1
which can be found in GCP Documentation Triggering DAGs with Cloud Functions.
At the moment there can be found two tabs Cloud Composer 1 Guides
and Cloud Composer 2 Guides
.
Under Cloud Composer 1
is code used by the OP, but if you will check Cloud Composer 2
under Manage DAGs
> Triggering DAGs with Cloud Functions you will get information that there is not proper documentation yet.
This documentation page for Cloud Composer 2 is not yet available. Please use the page for Cloud Composer 1.
As solution, please use Cloud Composer V1
.
