Two options. The first will use coalesce() to eliminate the null values. The second will create a a unique set of intersections via a CROSS JOIN and a UNION ALL (brute force)

Postgres: Count multiple events for distinct dates
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 17:04

            People of Stack Overflow!

Thanks for taking the time to read this question. What I am trying to accomplish is to pivot some data all from just one table. The original table has multiple datetime entries of specific events (e.g. when the customer was added add_time and when the customer was lost lost_time). This is one part of two rows of the deals table:

            id add_time last_mail_time lost_time 5 2020-03-24 09:29:24 2020-04-03 13:20:29 NULL 310 2020-03-24 09:29:24 NULL 2020-04-03 13:20:29

I want to create a view of this table. A view that has one row for each distinct date and counts the number of events at this specific time.

This is the goal (times do not match with the example!):

You can use a lateral join to unpivot and then aggregate:

How to align the labels to the RSI line? It is basically showing the Higher Highs and Lower Lows of RSI. The labels need to stick on to the respective RSI line.

Eloquent::where() condition is not working as expected, but Collection::where() does work
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 05:32

I've been playing around with Eloquent for a while, but I met a case where Eloquent::where() is not working as I expected. I managed to get Collection::where() worked instead though. However, I'm still wondering why Eloquent::where() didn't work in my case. I will keep the problem as simple as I can, here it goes:

            • I have Product and ProductCategory as many-to-many relationships and the pivot table name is "product_relate_category".
            • Here is the relationship between them. It's still working so you can skip

in your where in the query, you have used the column 'id' which is existed in the product_relate_category table and products table, so the database can't determine exactly what column you mean ... in this case you should write the full column name:

Why my ArrayFormula is giving error? How do I correct it? (I'm not looking for another Arrayformula as solutions!)
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 00:20

I wanted a ArrayFormula at C1 which gives the required result as shown.

            Entry sheet:
(Column C is my required column)

            Date Entered is the date when the Name is Assigned a group i.e. a, b, c, d, e, f

            Criteria:

            1. The value of count is purely on basis of Date Entered (if john is assigned a on lowest date(10-Jun) then count value is 1, if rose is assigned a on 2nd lowest date(17-Jun) then count value is 2).
            2. The value of count does not change even when the data is sorted in any manner because Date Entered column values is always permanent & does not change.
            3. New entry date could be any date not necessarily highest date (If a new entry with name Rydu is assigned a on 9-Jun then the it's count value will become 1, then john's (10-Jun) will become 2 and so on)

            Example:

After I sort the data in any random order say like this:

            Random ordered sheet:
            (Count value remains permanent)

And when I do New entries in between (Row 4th & 14th) and after last row (Row 17th):

            Random Ordered sheet:
            (Doesn't matter where I do)

I already got 2 different ArrayFormula which gives the required results:
            1. ={"AF Formula1"; ArrayFormula(IF(B2:B="", "", COUNTIFS(B$2:B, "="&B2:B, D$2:D, <"&D2:D)+1))}
            2. ={"AF Formula2";INDEX(IFERROR(1/(1/COUNTIFS(B2:B, B2:B, ROW(B2:B), "<="&ROW(B2:B)))))}
I'm not looking for another Arrayformula as solutions. What I want is to know what is wrong in my ArrayFormula? and how do I correct it?

I tried to figure my own ArrayFormula but it's not working:

I got Formula for each cell:
            =RANK($D2,FILTER($D$2:$D, $B$2:$B=$B2),1)
I figured out Filter doesn't work with ArrayFormula so I had to take a different approach.

I took help from my previous question answer (Arrayformula at H3) which was similar since in both cases each cell FILTER formula returns more than 1 value. (It was actually answered by player0)

Using the same technique I came up with this Formula which works absolutely fine :

            =RANK($D2, ARRAYFORMULA(TRANSPOSE(SPLIT(VLOOKUP($B2, SUBSTITUTE(TRIM(SPLIT(FLATTEN(QUERY(QUERY({$B:$B&"×", $D:$D}, "SELECT MAX(Col2) WHERE Col2 IS NOT NULL GROUP BY Col2 PIVOT Col1", 1),, 9^9)), "×")), " ", ","), 2, 0), ","))), 1)

Now when I tried converting it to ArrayFormula: ($D2 to $D2:$D & $B2 to $B2:$B)

            =ARRAYFORMULA(RANK($D2:$D,TRANSPOSE(SPLIT(VLOOKUP($B2:$B, SUBSTITUTE(TRIM(SPLIT(FLATTEN(QUERY(QUERY({$B:$B&"×", $D:$D}, "SELECT MAX(Col2) WHERE Col2 IS NOT NULL GROUP BY Col2 PIVOT Col1", 1),, 9^9)), "×")), " ", ","), 2, 0), ",")), 1))

It gives me an error "Did not find value '' in VLOOKUP evaluation", I figured out that the problem is only in VLOOKUP when I change $B2 to $B2:$B.

I'm sure VLOOKUP works with ArrayFormula, I fail to understand where my formula is going wrong! Please help me correct my ArrayFormula.

I have answered you on the tab in your shared sheet called My Practice thusly:

You cannot split a two column array as you have attempted to do in cell CI2. That is why your formula does not work. You can only split a ONE column array.

I understand you are trying to learn, but attempting to use complicated formulas like that is going to make it harder I'm afraid.

Laravel relationships, Many to Many or Has Many Through?
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 23:46

I'm building a web app using Laravel 8 and one thing I tend to struggle with is the complex relationships and accessing the data. I've started reading on hasManyThrough relationships but I'm not convinced that's the correct way to do it for my scenario.

The app is used by travelling salesmen to check in to a location when they arrive safely.

            I have three main tables:

            • Locations (where they are visiting),
            • Checkins (where their check in data is stored, e.g. time),
            • Users

This is where it gets a little complex and where I find myself not being able to see the wood for the trees...

            • Locations have many users, users have many locations. Many-to-many pivot table created.
            • Locations have many check ins, check ins have many locations. Many-to-many pivot table created.
            • Check ins have many users, users have many check ins. Many-to-many pivot table created.

As such they're all created using a belongsToMany relationship.

Now what I'd like to do is access the user of the check in so I can call something similar to on my show.blade.php:

            Answered 2021-Jun-14 at 23:46

You said "Check ins have many users", you seem to want the singular user for a check-in, but currently that would result in many users. It sounds like users check-in in a many to one relationship

Also $checkin->created_at will be by default a carbon object, so you can just go $checkin->created_at->format('jS F Y')

Also don't mix using compact and with, stay consistent and use only 1 as they achieve the same thing

Also $checkin->users()->name won't work, if you use the brackets on syntax is only returns a query builder instance, which you would need to call get on like $checkin->users()->get(), or you could use $checkin->users which will fetch them anyway. You may want to look into using with('relation') on query builder instances to stop N+1 queries if you want to dive a little deeper. Lastly $checkin->users()->get()->name also won't work as your user relation is many to many which returns a collection, which again points to you should have a belongsTo relationship called user without a pivot table

How to plot multiple subplots using for loop?
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 22:42

I am very new to Python. I have a dummy dataset (25 X 6) for practice. Out of 6 columns, I have 1 target variable (binary) and 5 independent variables (4 categorical and 1 numeric). I am trying to view my target distribution by the values within each of the 4 categorical columns (and without writing code for separate columns - but with a for loop usage so that I can scale it up for bigger datasets in the future). Something like below:

I am already successful in doing that (image above), but since I could only think of achieving this by using counters inside a for loop, I don't think this is Python elegant, and pretty sure there could be a better way of doing it (something like CarWash.groupby([i,'ReversedPayment']).size().reset_index().pivot(index = i,columns = 'ReversedPayment',values=0).axes.plot(kind='bar', stacked=True). I am struggling in handling this ax = setting) Below is my non-elegant Python code (not scalable):

The best way to make your code less repetitive for many potential columns is to make a function that plots on an axis. That way you can simply adjust with 3 parameters basically:

It seems it's kind of a lot of nesting which the relation manager is not able to handle. As well File does not work with differed binding when in used in pivot modal.

Relation manager with differed binding pivot data is not supported Ref: https://octobercms.com/docs/backend/relations#belongs-to-many-pivot

So maybe we can use an alternate way. if that is possible.

            1. In pivot table you can add new field file with text type
            2. Specify it in relation config => 'pivot' => ['status', 'file']

One method would be to ROW_NUMBER each the the "statuses" and then use a FULL OUTER JOIN to get the 2 datasets into the appropriate columns. I use a FULL OUTER JOIN as I assume you could have a different amount of employees who were present/absent.
