kandi X-RAY | utf Summary

utf is a C library typically used in Utilities applications. utf has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities and it has low support. However utf has a Non-SPDX License. You can download it from GitHub.

utf is a set of functions for dealing with UTF-8 and UTF-16 text. utf is shipped as just one .c file and one .h file, so it can be integrated into any project with ease. utf is written in standard C99, making it fully portable. utf is intended to have fully defined and consistent behavior across platforms, including graceful handling of invalid input (so no error codes!).

Javascript dynamically inserted later on: how to make it run?
            Asked 2022-Apr-17 at 14:12

I have scripts In my React app that are inserted dynamically later on. The scripts don't load.

In my database there is a field called content, which contains data that includes html and javascript. There are many records and each record can include multiple scripts in the content field. So it's not really an option to statically specify each of the script-urls in my React app. The field for a record could for example look like:

            QUESTION

Why do Switch and ListView controls in MAUI not update with 2-way binding?
            Asked 2022-Apr-11 at 09:33

This question is about two MAUI controls (Switch and ListView) - I'm asking about them both in the same question as I'm expecting the root cause of the problem to be the same for both controls. It's entirely possible that they're different problems that just share some common symptoms though. (CollectionView has similar issues, but other confounding factors that make it trickier to demonstrate.)

I'm using 2-way data binding in my MAUI app: changes to the data can either come directly from the user, or from a background polling task that checks whether the canonical data has been changed elsewhere. The problem I'm facing is that changes to the view model are not visually propagated to the Switch.IsToggled and ListView.SelectedItem properties, even though the controls do raise events showing that they've "noticed" the property changes. Other controls (e.g. Label and Checkbox) are visually updated, indicating that the view model notification is working fine and the UI itself is generally healthy.

Build environment: Visual Studio 2022 17.2.0 preview 2.1
App environment: Android, either emulator "Pixel 5 - API 30" or a real Pixel 6

The sample code is all below, but the fundamental question is whether this a bug somewhere in my code (do I need to "tell" the controls to update themselves for some reason?) or possibly a bug in MAUI (in which case I should presumably report it)?

            Sample code

The sample code below can be added directly a "File new project" MAUI app (with a name of "MauiPlayground" to use the same namespaces), or it's all available from my demo code repo. Each example is independent of the other - you can try just one. (Then update App.cs to set MainPage to the right example.)

Both examples have a very simple situation: a control with two-way binding to a view-model, and a button that updates the view-model property (to simulate "the data has been modified elsewhere" in the real app). In both cases, the control remains unchanged visually.

Note that I've specified {Binding ..., Mode=TwoWay} in both cases, even though that's the default for those properties, just to be super-clear that that isn't the problem.

The ViewModelBase code is shared by both examples, and is simply a convenient way of raising INotifyPropertyChanged.PropertyChanged without any extra dependencies:

            ViewModelBase.cs:

These both may be bugs with the currently released version of MAUI.

This bug was recently posted and there is already a fix for the Switch to address this issue.

You are running the project via Java 1.8 and add the --add-opens option to the runner. However Java 1.8 does not support it.

So, the first option is to use Java 11 to run the project, as Java 11 can recognize this VM option.

Another solution is to find a place where --add-opens is added and remove it. Check Run configuration in IntelliJ IDEA (VM options field) and Maven/Gradle configuration files for argLine (Maven) and jvmArgs (Gradle)

After the build has failed go to AndroidManifest.xml and in the bottom click merged manifest see which activities which have intent-filter but don't have exported=true attribute. Or you can just get the activities which are giving error.

Add these activities to your App manifest with android:exported="true" and app tools:node="merge" this will add exported attribute to the activities giving error.

In JavaScript/TypeScript you can throw anything, not only errors. In theory it could be anything in the catch block. If you want to prevent the type error it could make sense to check if the unknown value is a system error before checking the code.

            Answered 2021-Aug-01 at 06:17

Please note that Spring Cloud Gateway is not compatible with Spring MVC (spring-boot-starter-web). This is outlined in section "How to include Spring Cloud Gateway in the official reference documentation":

Spring Cloud Gateway is built on Spring Boot 2.x, Spring WebFlux, and Project Reactor. As a consequence, many of the familiar synchronous libraries (Spring Data and Spring Security, for example) and patterns you know may not apply when you use Spring Cloud Gateway.

            Additionally, it is stated that:

Spring Cloud Gateway requires the Netty runtime provided by Spring Boot and Spring Webflux. It does not work in a traditional Servlet Container or when built as a WAR.

As already suggested by the error message, you would need to remove the dependency on spring-boot-starter-web. You can list all your direct and transitive dependencies with the following command:

Since your URL is relative (it's just "hi.txt"), it's resolved against the URL of the page the code is running in. In your case, that appears to be file:///something — that is, a file you've loaded directly from your file system, not by requesting it from a server. Chrome doesn't allow fetching from the file scheme. The file scheme's origin is null. The Chrome team's interpretation of the Same Origin Policy is that no origin, not even itself, should match null. (A reasonable interpretation in my view, but opinions can vary.)

When doing web development, you want to be working through a server process because pages loaded directly from the file system behave differently in several sometimes-subtle ways vs. pages loaded from servers.

There are a couple of ways to do that:

            • Use the features of your IDE, if you use one, and/or extensions to it. For instance, for VSCode there's the "live server" extension which makes it very easy to run your code from a minimal server.
            • Use an actual web server process running locally. There are simple ones that are easy to install.
            • Use one of various "quick start" scaffolding tools that set up simple projects for you, often via npm (and Node.js), with a command you can use to build and run the project locally in development mode.

Judging from this issue: CSS import breaks webpack 5 compilation
I believe this is an issue with Semantic-UI-React and Webpack 5 (which is used by Create-React-App).

The final answer in that issue is a suggestion to switch to Fomantic-UI 😅

This should be reported into the upstream repo: https://github.com/Semantic-Org/Semantic-UI. The problem is that it's dead 🙄 Reasonable solution is to switch to https://github.com/fomantic/Fomantic-UI.

This library calls Unicode codepoints runes. utf8EncodeRune() encodes the given rune as UTF-8 into encoded, returning the number of bytes encoded. encoded must be at least 4 bytes long. If the given rune cannot be encoded (for instance, if it is invalid or is a surrogate half), U+FFFD is encoded. utf8DecodeRune() takes the UTF-8 sequence in s and decodes its first rune into rune. It returns a pointer to the start of the next rune. nElem is the size of s; if nElem is 0, s is assumed to be large enough. Use this for C-style strings terminated with a '\0'. If the first byte of s results in an invalid UTF-8 sequence, U+FFFD is stored in rune and the returned pointer is offset by one. So, for instance, if we pass in the invalid.
