How can I add Animation left to right on navbar in nextjs app?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 06:24

I have a navbar and sidebar component in my nextjs app. In my index component I'm using useState to show and hide sidebar on mobile device.
It works perfectly fine but I want to add animation when user clicks on hamburger menu, the sidebar should be animated left to right and when clicked on close icon it should go back to right to left. FYI I am using tailwind css.

Why do not my entities want to tie together?
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 11:33

I'm trying to tie a comment to the ticket. To do that, I have created a one to many relationship between Ticket to comment. However, I get an error message stating that.

SqlException: The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Commenents_Tickets_Ticket_Id". The conflict occurred in database "NewTracker", table "dbo.Tickets", column 'Ticket_Id'.

I guess it's because I do not get my ticket_id when I make a comment. To try to solve this task, I have included ticket_Id which you can see in the view. (asp-route-Id="@Model.Ticket_Id).

In my view I am already inside my ticket where I want to make a comment as you can see in my url I have an Id /Ticket/Info/32 . I therefore thought it was possible to use asp-route-Id="@Model.Ticket_Idto be able to link to the ticket id?

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-13 at 19:57

Try passing pickingHotspot in your dependency array for useEffect.

Your event handler is attached to your element in the useEffect on componentDidMount because of the empty dependency array. This will only happen once and that old function will be used. That old function will close over the value of the previous state. You can attach your event handler again on every relevant state change by passing pickHotSpot in your dependency array.

It is also a recommended approach to keep all your relevant code inside the hook. You could have put your listener function inside your hook, and would have seen a missing dependency warning from one of your lint tools.

Also, if there is no specific reason for you to add event hanlder like this from javascript, then add inline usin JSX, like @MB__ suggested. That will be executed on every render so it should be correct. At any time only one eventhandler for the particular event will be attached.

You may manually focus the element inside x-init directive using x-ref. And you might want to add outline-none class to hide the default browser outline on the focused element.

In Chapter 5 "Customization and Further Development" the default table view is replaced by a list. In order to bring back the sorting functionality, the authors include the following jhiSort directive (page 134):

            jhiSort [(predicate)]="predicate" [(ascending)]="reverse" [callback]="transition.bind(this)"

You need to use value="1" to intialize your thumb at 1 . Then , write change event on range input and assign value using $(this).val() to your other inputs . I am not sure about 3rd issue because in that docs its written supports "filling" their track.., we do not currently support it....
