Verify scheduledExecutorService calls the runnable multiple times using Java mockito
            Asked 2021-Mar-26 at 09:44

I have a service invoked once every minute. I am trying to write a unit test to check whether the scheduler continues calling the runnable even if of the calls throw an exception. Already have a test case that confirms exception caught in the runnable is not bubbled up.

Your test case is completely flawed because you didn't abstract enough.

Let's imagine you have 2000 unit tests, and still have a wrong abstraction. 2000 tests isn't that much, but it can run in around 1 minute. Now imagine that 1% of your tests rely on your ServiceRunner class, that's 20 tests. It's not unreasonable to think that 20 classes use a class named ServiceRunner. Well, now your tests, instead of running for around 1 minute, they run for 1 minute + 20 * 1 minute, so 21 minutes.

So do yourself a favor, and add a parameter to your constructor that say the fixed rate at which your service must run. And when you test it, make sure that it runs every fixed rate.

This way, you could allow your test to wait for 2 * 1 second (if you wrote 1 second), or better 2 * 100 milliseconds.

            Your test would become this:

I can't download a ZIP file from the Sitefinity CMS Export / Import menu
            Asked 2020-Nov-11 at 22:06

I want to download a ZIP file from Sitefinity CMS Export / Import menu, but after I clicked "Export to ZIP file" button I've got this error: Data have not been successfully exported. I've tried to export each item individually, but the result was still the same.

Steps to reproduce: Go to Sitefinity CMS (Admin site) -> Administration -> Export / Import -> Download ZIP file -> select just 1 item -> click "Export to Zip file" button -> the error appears on the Browser: Data have not been successfully exported.

Detail error message, On the CMS: Data have not been successfully exported

On the Chrome DevTools: Response Code 500. ErrorCode: InvalidOperationException. Message: Scheduling is not enabled

GNU sed matching lines with unescaped characters
            Asked 2020-Jun-14 at 01:27

I'm running into an issue with SED and it's not quite behaving the way I'd expect it. I'm attempting to append to lines (using lines breaks, \n) after a match. I'm attempting to auto-fix a Service file for all our deployed machines, and all future ones (well, until the vendor fixes it).

Suppose I have a file called "foo.service" which looks like this:

ArgumentNullException with custom auth provider in ServiceStack
            Asked 2020-Mar-20 at 19:34

I've made a custom auth provider for LDAP (Active Directory) based on the CredentialsAuthProvider. Following the docs I've overridden TryAuthenticate and OnAuthenticated, returning true at the end. I've also tried without OnAuthenticated.

I'm using UseDistinctRoleTables for the OrmLiteAuthRepository, and I've observed in the tables that roles are being created in UserRole.

However I'm getting the exception: ArgumentNullException. Fieldname "s".

The issue is ServiceStack's AuthenticateService is trying to populate the AuthenticateResponse Roles and Permissions but your Custom AuthProvider isn't populating the session.UserAuthId which is used to query the Auth Repository for the roles.

The solution is for your Custom AuthProvider to populate the Sessions UserAuthId with the Id of the Authenticated User.

You can also prevent this Exception by disabling ServiceStack from trying to populate the Roles/Permissions by setting IncludeRolesInAuthenticateResponse=false, e.g:
