Regex for specific permutations of a word
            Asked 2022-Apr-17 at 01:08

I am working on a wordle bot and I am trying to match words using regex. I am stuck at a problem where I need to look for specific permutations of a given word.

For example, if the word is "steal" these are all the permutations: 'tesla', 'stale', 'steal', 'taels', 'leats', 'setal', 'tales', 'slate', 'teals', 'stela', 'least', 'salet'.

I had some trouble creating a regex for this, but eventually stumbled on positive lookaheads which solved the issue. regex -

            '(?=.*[s])(?=.*[l])(?=.*[a])(?=.*[t])(?=.*[e])'

But, if we are looking for specific permutations, how do we go about it?

For example words that look like 's[lt]a[lt]e'. The matching words are 'steal', 'stale', 'state'. But I want to limit the count of l and t in the matched word, which means the output should be 'steal' & 'stale'. 1 obvious solution is this regex r'slate|stale', but this is not a general solution. I am trying to arrive at a general solution for any scenario and the use of positive lookahead above seemed like a starting point. But I am unable to arrive at a solution.

Do we combine positive lookaheads with normal regex?

You could append the regex which matches the permutations of interest to your existing regex. In your sample case, you would use:

The query params are not available right when the component loads, because the router hook is still loading, but it re-renders the component when it becomes available.

One way to make it work is to edit the useEffect hook

            ANSWER

            Answered 2022-Apr-03 at 22:19

This is likely a CSS issue, not a TailwindCSS issue.

CSS wants to be fast, so there are several values you cannot animate to or from. When the parent doesn't have definite dimensions, one of these unanimatable values is 100%.

Unless you're willing to either set a definite height (e.g., 100px) or use some JavaScript, there's no way to do this animation as far as I know.

Since it looks like you're trying to make an accordion, I'd recommend checking out this article, which uses the WebAnimationsApi to achieve the same affect you're going for: https://css-tricks.com/how-to-animate-the-details-element-using-waapi/

React page is 'lagging' when typing in a rich text editor
            Asked 2022-Mar-28 at 08:56

If I type very fast, the rich text editor lags while updating. If I hold down the a key, the text editor doesn't update and page freezes until I lift up the key. I have tried using both Mantine text editor and Slate text editor. Both of them don't lag when I'm using it on their docs website itself.

I have also isolated my text editor into a single file but it still won't work.

DaysOfTheWeek is a bitwise mask, with enumeration shown in it's document page here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/taskschd/weeklytrigger-daysofweek

Seeing that we can enumerate those in a hashtable, then use it to determine what days your task triggers on.

            What I want?

I am fetching the data using getServerSideProps(). But what I want is that the user/client enters the city in the input box and then clicks and finally see the weather details of the respective city.

            what I had done?

For this, I had defined a city state in the component but now I want that city to be get accessed in getServerSideProps().

            ANSWER

            Answered 2022-Mar-23 at 13:09

State variables from the client-side can't be accessed from getServerSideProps as it runs on the server. You have to pass the data through query params to make it available server-side.

To pass city as a query parameter to be picked up in getServerSideProps you can use router.push inside the handleSubmit function.
