ITCSS: where to put CSS animations?
            Asked 2019-Jun-11 at 08:57

I'm using ITCSS for my latest project.

The layers of the triangle are the follows:

            • Settings — used with preprocessors and contain font, colors definitions, etc. In this layer is common define the variables that can customize the template.
            • Tools — globally used mixins and functions. This layer is only used if we use a preprocessor as SASS.
            • Generic — reset and/or normalize styles, box-sizing definition, etc. It is important to note that this is the first layer of the triangle that generates CSS.
            • Elements — styling for bare HTML elements (like H1, A, header, footer, …). These come with default styling from the browser so we must to redefine them here.
            • Objects — class-based selectors which define undecorated design patterns, for example media object known from OOCSS such as list, radio-button.
            • Components — specific UI components. The components of our page, for example button, card, concrete-list, etc..
            • Utilities — utilities and helper classes with ability to override anything which goes before in the triangle.

            Animations in itcss

If the animation is used multiple places define it in the Object layer.
If you are using a preprossor and create animations for different components put it in the Tools layer.
If its a one time only animation it should be placed in the Component layer

ITCSS - Where put classes specific for a page
            Asked 2018-Sep-17 at 06:40

I'm using ITCSS to structure my styles. Now I have a page with an image where I need that its max-height would be 512px. This property is specific for the image in that page, so using ITCSS where should I put this property? The image has the class img-fluid of Bootstrap. Another question is, using ITCSS could I create styles for specific pages, or should organize my styles using the structure "imposed" by ITCSS?

It depends on how much page specific styling you have.

One way is to style the image as a variation of image. Used like ".

            (S)CSS architecture: alternative backgrounds styling
            Asked 2017-Apr-04 at 06:08

I'm using 'component' approach to CSS as in SMACSS / ITCSS, I'm still scratching my head about styling sections with alternative (dark) background.

e.g. Stripe has regular (dark text on white) and alternative (white text on dark) sections.

As I understand there are options assuming HTML:

What you're asking for is essentially to style a component within a section based on the section itself. Unfortunately this is impossible with CSS, as there is no parent selector in CSS. However, there is the inherit value, which allows you to style a component based on the rules defined by its parent - perfect for component-driven CSS.

In my opinion, the best way you can go about alternating background styling is to make use of the :nth-of-type pseudo-class on

I think that guides is deprecated but you can check the commit and app.module.ts file to check how they have used scss and css files.
