QUESTION
e: this has been fixed through Spring Boot 2.6.5 (see https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-boot/issues/30243)
Since upgrading to Spring Boot 2.6.X (in my case: 2.6.1), I have multiple projects that now have failing unit-tests on Windows that cannot start EmbeddedKafka
, that do run with Linux
There is multiple errors, but this is the first one thrown
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-09 at 15:51Known bug on the Apache Kafka side. Nothing to do from Spring perspective. See more info here: https://github.com/spring-projects/spring-kafka/discussions/2027. And here: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-13391
You need to wait until Apache Kafka 3.0.1
or don't use embedded Kafka and just rely on the Testcontainers, for example, or fully external Apache Kafka broker.
QUESTION
Im attempting to find model performance metrics (F1 score, accuracy, recall) following this guide https://machinelearningmastery.com/how-to-calculate-precision-recall-f1-and-more-for-deep-learning-models/
This exact code was working a few months ago but now returning all sorts of errors, very confusing since i havent changed one character of this code. Maybe a package update has changed things?
I fit the sequential model with model.fit, then used model.evaluate to find test accuracy. Now i am attempting to use model.predict_classes to make class predictions (model is a multi-class classifier). Code shown below:

QUESTION
We have a bunch of microservices based on Spring Boot 2.5.4 also including spring-kafka:2.7.6
and spring-boot-actuator:2.5.4
. All the services use Tomcat as servlet container and graceful shutdown enabled. These microservices are containerized using docker.
Due to a misconfiguration, yesterday we faced a problem on one of these containers because it took a port already bound from another one.

ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-17 at 08:38Since you have everything containerized, it's way simpler.
Just set up a small healthcheck endpoint with Spring Web which serves to see if the server is still running, something like:
QUESTION
I have created a working CNN model in Keras/Tensorflow, and have successfully used the CIFAR-10 & MNIST datasets to test this model. The functioning code as seen below:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-16 at 10:18If the hyperspectral dataset is given to you as a large image with many channels, I suppose that the classification of each pixel should depend on the pixels around it (otherwise I would not format the data as an image, i.e. without grid structure). Given this assumption, breaking up the input picture into 1x1 parts is not a good idea as you are loosing the grid structure.
I further suppose that the order of the channels is arbitrary, which implies that convolution over the channels is probably not meaningful (which you however did not plan to do anyways).
Instead of reformatting the data the way you did, you may want to create a model that takes an image as input and also outputs an "image" containing the classifications for each pixel. I.e. if you have 10 classes and take a (145, 145, 200) image as input, your model would output a (145, 145, 10) image. In that architecture you would not have any fully-connected layers. Your output layer would also be a convolutional layer.
That however means that you will not be able to keep your current architecture. That is because the tasks for MNIST/CIFAR10 and your hyperspectral dataset are not the same. For MNIST/CIFAR10 you want to classify an image in it's entirety, while for the other dataset you want to assign a class to each pixel (while most likely also using the pixels around each pixel).
Some further ideas:
- If you want to turn the pixel classification task on the hyperspectral dataset into a classification task for an entire image, maybe you can reformulate that task as "classifying a hyperspectral image as the class of it's center (or top-left, or bottom-right, or (21th, 104th), or whatever) pixel". To obtain the data from your single hyperspectral image, for each pixel, I would shift the image such that the target pixel is at the desired location (e.g. the center). All pixels that "fall off" the border could be inserted at the other side of the image.
- If you want to stick with a pixel classification task but need more data, maybe split up the single hyperspectral image you have into many smaller images (e.g. 10x10x200). You may even want to use images of many different sizes. If you model only has convolution and pooling layers and you make sure to maintain the sizes of the image, that should work out.
QUESTION
So I was trying to convert my data's timestamps from Unix timestamps to a more readable date format. I created a simple Java program to do so and write to a .csv file, and that went smoothly. I tried using it for my model by one-hot encoding it into numbers and then turning everything into normalized data. However, after my attempt to one-hot encode (which I am not sure if it even worked), my normalization process using make_column_transformer failed.
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Dec-09 at 20:59using OneHotEncoder is not the way to go here, it's better to extract the features from the column time as separate features like year, month, day, hour, minutes etc... and give these columns as input to your model.

QUESTION
I am writing a Splittable DoFn to read a MongoDB change stream. It allows me to observe events describing changes to a collection, and I can start reading at an arbitrary cluster timestamp I want, provided oplog has enough history. Cluster timestamps are seconds since epoch combined with the serial number of operation in a given second.
I have looked at other examples of an SDF but all I have seen so far assume a "seekable" data source (Kafka topic-partition, Parquet/Avro file, etc.)
The interface exposed by MongoDB is a simple Iterable, so I cannot really seek
to a precise offset
(aside from getting a new Iterable starting after a timestamp), and events produced by it have only cluster timestamps - again, no precise offset associated with an output element.
To configure the SDF I use the following class as my input element type:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Sep-29 at 23:41Using the the timestamp as the offset is a perfectly fine thing to use as for the restriction, as long as you are able to guarantee you are able to read all elements up to a given timestamp. (The loop above assumes that the iterator yields elements in timestamp order, specifically, that once you see a timestamp outside the range you can exit the loop and not worry about earlier elements in later parts of the iterator.)
As for why tryClaim is failing so often, this is likely because the direct runner does fairly aggressive splitting: https://github.com/apache/beam/blob/release-2.33.0/runners/direct-java/src/main/java/org/apache/beam/runners/direct/SplittableProcessElementsEvaluatorFactory.java#L178
QUESTION
I'm trying to fine-tune the ReformerModelWithLMHead (google/reformer-enwik8) for NER. I used the padding sequence length same as in the encode method (max_length = max([len(string) for string in list_of_strings])) along with attention_masks. And I got this error:
ValueError: If training, make sure that config.axial_pos_shape factors: (128, 512) multiply to sequence length. Got prod((128, 512)) != sequence_length: 2248. You might want to consider padding your sequence length to 65536 or changing config.axial_pos_shape.
- When I changed the sequence length to 65536, my colab session crashed by getting all the inputs of 65536 lengths.
- According to the second option(changing config.axial_pos_shape), I cannot change it.
I would like to know, Is there any chance to change config.axial_pos_shape while fine-tuning the model? Or I'm missing something in encoding the input strings for reformer-enwik8?
Thanks!
Question Update: I have tried the following methods:
- By giving paramteres at the time of model instantiation:
model = transformers.ReformerModelWithLMHead.from_pretrained("google/reformer-enwik8", num_labels=9, max_position_embeddings=1024, axial_pos_shape=[16,64], axial_pos_embds_dim=[32,96],hidden_size=128)
It gives me the following error:
RuntimeError: Error(s) in loading state_dict for ReformerModelWithLMHead: size mismatch for reformer.embeddings.word_embeddings.weight: copying a param with shape torch.Size([258, 1024]) from checkpoint, the shape in current model is torch.Size([258, 128]). size mismatch for reformer.embeddings.position_embeddings.weights.0: copying a param with shape torch.Size([128, 1, 256]) from checkpoint, the shape in current model is torch.Size([16, 1, 32]).
This is quite a long error.
- Then I tried this code to update the config:
Reshape Axial Position Embeddings layer to match desired max seq length ...model1 = transformers.ReformerModelWithLMHead.from_pretrained('google/reformer-enwik8', num_labels = 9)
ANSWER
Answered 2021-Aug-15 at 06:11The Reformer model was proposed in the paper Reformer: The Efficient Transformer by Nikita Kitaev, Łukasz Kaiser, Anselm Levskaya. The paper contains a method for factorization gigantic matrix which is resulted of working with very long sequences! This factorization is relying on 2 assumptions
- the parameter
config.axial_pos_embds_dim
is set to a tuple(d1,d2)
which sum has to be equal to config.hidden_size config.axial_pos_shape
is set to a tuple(n1s,n2s)
which product has to be equal to config.max_embedding_size (more on these here!)
Finally your question ;)
- I'm almost sure your session crushed duo to ram overflow
- you can change any config parameter during model instantiation like the official documentation!
