            TypeError for every array of objects after index 0
            Asked 2021-May-30 at 22:48

            Working with react leaflet and a water api. I create an array of objects from the data obtained from the API, console log shows I have all the correct data, particularly at line 109 it does output the correct information. Yet, on lines 254 and 255, using obj2[1] just gives me 'TypeError: Cannot read property 'name' of undefined.' Switching the index at those two lines back to 0 makes it compiles and run, but that's obviously not the right data. What is going on here?

            The problem is you make the API call and this process takes time to get data from the server so the first time the obj2 is empty so when you call obj2[1].name is throwing error

            Posting array of objects to REST API with ReactJS
            Asked 2021-May-28 at 07:30

            I am working on a project in which I need to post a new Course to my API. I tested this with POSTMAN and API works just fine, however when I try to post data using react fetch data is corrupted. While sending single strings like dishName: "pizza" works just fine and is shown in database I cannot manage to send an array of objects. I tried to do it in many ways like:

            You are setting the ingredients state as a string, so you are basically 'stringify' a string which will result in JSON SyntaxError. If you want to send an array that way you must specify the array bracket [ and ] in order to make it a valid array.

            To solve it just change:

            Mark.js contenteditable - run Mark on input
            Asked 2021-Mar-27 at 20:24

            I'm am making a "word-checker" with a contenteditable div while using mark.js to highlingt certain words/word groups.

            The problem I am having is that I can't find a way to "run" Mark.js as the words are being typed (copy/pasted) in.

            I have tried to achieve this by adding an event listener to the textarea, but that throws an error: mark is not defined. textarea.addEventListener("input", mark); and by changing mark to instance textarea.addEventListener("input", instance); which gives me an error: TypeError: Property 'handleEvent' is not callable.. Here is the fiddle.

            I have also looked at various examples found on SO and on google, but I just can't seem to find what I'm looking for. The closest thing I found was this, but I still couldn't get it to work.

            Any help would be much appreciated. If I can provide any additional information, please let me know.

            You can put all the instance.mark(...) calls to a separate function (e.g. markWords). You can then call that function when the input text changes:

            How to append a unique list created within a for loop
            Asked 2021-Mar-23 at 21:25

            I have a dataframe about movies

            df = pd.read_csv("https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Giovanni1085/UvA_CSDA_2021/main/assignments/miniproject/Pudding-Film-Dialogue-Clean.csv"

            It has the columns of gender and proportion_of_dialogue per film. The later shows the proportion of dialogue of each given character and the 'gender' columns shows of cours the gender.

            I want to create a for loop that goes over every row and creates a new dictionary every time a row gives a new movie after several characters. I want in this dictionary list of the proportion of dialogue from woman and from man. This all together goes in it's own dictionary. The outcome would be something like:

            What I have is this (it's a lot):

            In python dictionaries you don't use append, that's for lists. For dictionaries, it's enough to add a new value by assigning a key. Like this:

            CosmosDb nested array query projection
            Asked 2021-Feb-17 at 22:42

            I would like to pull specific pieces of data from within a nested array inside of a document stored in CosmosDb. This is relevant in a reporting use case where I am currently over-fetching more data than is necessary for a report.

            I'm using the example document from the playground found here https://www.documentdb.com/sql/demo to illustrate an example of what I'm trying to do. The structure looks like this:

            You should use the ARRAY expression to construct an array from subquery's results to achieve this.

            Please try this SQL:

            I am trying to create a two column flexbox that turns into 1 column when the max-width is 800 px. The behavior I am trying to recreate is here: https://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filename=trycss3_flexbox_responsive2

            I have followed the exact css properties from that tutorial but I am not sure why the media query is not responding to my code.

            Use width instead of flex. flex requires other parameters like shrink and grow e.g. flex: 0 1 40%;
