Both Swing and JavaFX are single-threaded UI toolkits, and each has their own thread for rendering the UI and processing user events. Modifying Swing components and creating Swing windows (e.g. JFrames) must be done on the AWT event dispatch thread. Modifying JavaFX components must be done on the FX Application Thread.

Thus when you're working with both toolkits together, you have to be careful to delegate the appropriate actions to the appropriate threads. The Javadocs for JFXPanel have more details.

Here's a complete example which includes a slight re-working of your code and shows how to move the different parts of the code to the appropriate thread:

All controls derive from Control. Therefore, instead of using the type Object use Control. Control has most of the members of these controls like a Click event.

My JCheckBox program only displays one box. Why is that?

I am attempting to add another checkbox to this program but for some reason it will not display when I run the program. Only the check box for the blue pill displays. I have attempted to add a couple things or change the way the program is structured, but nothing I have done so far has helped.

When you're stuck on a problem, it never hurts to go back and consult the documentation.

            You'll find information like this:

A border layout lays out a container, arranging and resizing its components to fit in five regions: north, south, east, west, and center. Each region may contain no more than one component, and is identified by a corresponding constant: NORTH, SOUTH, EAST, WEST, and CENTER. When adding a component to a container with a border layout, use one of these five constants...

Opencart Send Email to Multiple Groups
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 09:45

I would like to be able to modify Opencart's admin panel where you can select multiple groups instead of just 1 when sending emails to customers.

I don't know where and how to modify the system to do so as I'm still new to this kind of stuff.

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 09:45

The Mail system in OpenCart lets you send emails to specific customer groups. Not all at the time.

You can use this feature to send newsletters, information on specials, or to communicate any type of store information to select groups of customers.

Customer groups are especially useful in emailing specific groups of people instead of every customer stored in the administration.

webforms all children performing async postback even when updatemode set to conditional
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 07:07

I have an update panel with UpdateMode set to conditional, and childrenastriggers set to false, but all the controls in the panel are performing async postbacks...

            ANSWER

AsyncPostBackTrigger only sets controls that are outside of the panel.

Controls on the page outside of an update panel can refresh an UpdatePanel control by defining them as triggers. Triggers are defined by using the AsyncPostBackTrigger element.

Controls that postback will always postback. I think the ChildrenAsTriggers="false" won't stop the postbacks - it will just stop the content from updating.

Django admin panel not showing related foreign key correctly - Postgresql
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 06:31

I'm new to Django. I've defined 2 tables and have set a foreign key. So I want to link the column note from table Comment to the column id from table Note.

As I'm using PostgreSQL, when I check the psql shell, the name of the column note will be displayed as note_id.

So for using in template, if I use something like comment.note, it prints the "quick_note" of the note table, which I don't want that. I want to get the "id" of the related post to the current comment, not the quick_note of the related post. But if I use something like comments.note_id, it shows the id of the related post, which is what I expect to get.

Also in the admin panel, I see a field of note: that shows related quick_note not id. How can I fix it that admin panel show the related id? So here I want the id of related post to be shown in front of note:.

I'm trying to save and load state of a shiny app using bookmarks. However, it doesn't work and I wonder whether it is because of inserting dynamic UI. If there are other ways to save and load dynamically rendered ui and resulting output, that would be great too. I don't know where to start and this is as far as I could come.

            • As per Adding plots to the basic mplfinance plot(), section Plotting multiple additional data sets
              • Aside from the example below, for two columns from a dataframe, the documentation shows a number of ways to configure an appropriate object for the addplot parameter.
              • apdict = [mpf.make_addplot(data['Upper Band']), mpf.make_addplot(data['Lower Band'])] works as well. Note it's a list, not a tuple.

After each update on UpdatePanel you need to initialize again your JavaScript.

UpdatePanel gives the pageLoad() function that is called on each update - so you can use this for init, and re-init your javascript. So just change your code to this.
