I have bunch of GRPC microservices and they are using self signed certs. I add authentication info to the GRPC channel which is then used to identify endpoints and provide right services.

Now I want migrate to Istio mTLS.

In phase one, I got Istio to BYPASS all GRPC connections and my services works as it is now.

In Phase two, I want to hand off TLS to Istio, but I am stuck on how to pass the authentication information to GRPC?

How do you handle auth in Istio mTLS setup?

GRPC can support other authentication mechanisms Has anyone used this to inject Istio auth info to GRPC? any other suggestions on how you implemented this in your setup

I have a navigation menu that I made for a test application, there are some tabs that I want to hide if I am not logged into the application. After logging in, these tabs should appear. The problem is that after logging in, I go to the desired page and I don't see all the navigation menu icons. For them to appear, I need to click on one of the available icons (only 2 icons are available for authorization) and only then the navigation menu will be updated and everything will be as it should be. All 6 icons will be visible! Can someone help me with this? Here I described the problem with the code that I am using. I would be grateful for any help.

I have a spring boot application that would run on a local server (not on a google cloud server). I plan to use a service account to allow the application to use Google Cloud Storage and Logging. I created a service account and an api key and downloaded the json file which looks like this:

Let's say I have my main domain on one server and one of the subdomains to another server.

both of these addresses are using Cloudflare DNS to different ip addresses, so:

example.com => ip1

new.example.com => ip2

Now I want to proxy_pass a certain path on example.com to new.example.com without changing the url, so:

example.com/something should show content of new.example.com/somethingElse

These are my nginx config files, the problem is if I point example.com/something to google.com or even an ngrok server that I hosted for test, everything works just fine, but when I point it to new.example.com/something it gives me 502 error, so my guess is there's something wrong with my new.example.com config.

Just curious to know the difference between below three executions, If I use a variable to hold the json data and pass the same to curl command, json msg become corrupt and server returns incorrect result, What is the best way to pass json from a variable while invoking curl command ? Trying to make the last line in the snippet work.
