How can I avoid bundling Vuetify and use from CDN?
            Asked 2021-Jun-16 at 01:31

I'm trying to decrease the bundle size of my Vue project, which scaffolded by the vue-cli, by using CDN of firebase, Vue, and Vuetify.

So, I've added links of these CDN in public/index.html as follow:

If you are using vuetify from vue-cli-plugin-vuetify (vue add vuetify), treeshaking and auto component import is enabled by default, by using vuetify-loader.

If you look into the source code of vue-cli-plugin-vuetify, it only uses vuetify-loader if it is present in your package.json. So removing vuetify-loader from package.json should disable this behavior.

vue single file components naming; is it important?

What's the point of the name of a single file vue component?

            Answered 2021-Jun-16 at 00:25

A good justification for the name is that lets say you have a naming convention to your files and for components.

For example if all components are named with what they are but not appended with comp (ie: Inventory.vue instead of InventoryComp.vue) and when you use them you want to be more explicit about what they are (components) so you want to use this component like this: . An easy way to do this is to use the name property and set it like this in your Inventory.vue:

The question is how can i access to this config in a TypeScript plugin ?

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 20:42

Nuxt makes the $config available in two ways: as this.$config on every component instance, and context.$config passed to "special nuxt lifecycle areas like asyncData, fetch, plugins, middleware and nuxtServerInit" (docs).

It looks like you need to access the $config outside a component, so you'll need to retrieve it early in the request cycle. In particular, since you're mutating the Vue.prototype, this feels like a good fit for a plugin in the Nuxt sense, which isn't quite what you've got in your code.

If you put your plugin file in the plugins directory and reference it from the plugins array in nuxt.config.js (see link above for a broader example), you could rewrite it like this to access $config:

Do Vue.js render functions allow return of an array of VNodes?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 18:46

I am working on extending a Vue.js frontend application. I am currently inspecting a render function within a functional component. After looking over the docs, I had the current understanding that the render function within the functional component will return a single VNode created with CreateElement aka h. My confusion came when I saw a VNode being returned as an element in an array. I could not find any reference to this syntax in the docs. Does anyone have any insight?

It seems this was implemented in:

            https://github.com/vuejs/vue/commit/c7c13c2a156269d29fd9c9f8f6a3e53a2f2cac3d

This was a result of an issue raised in 2018 (https://github.com/vuejs/vue/issues/8056) , because this.$scopedSlots.default() returned both a VNode or an array of VNodes depending on the content.

The main argument was that this is inconsistent with how regular slots behave in render functions, and means any render function component rendering scoped slots as children needs to type check the result of invoking the slot to decide if it needs to be wrapped in an array

So Evan comments on the issue thread here, explaining that this.$scopedSlots.default would always return Arrays beginning v2.6 to allow for consistency, but to avoid breaking changes for how $scopedSlots was being used, the update would also allow return of an Array of a single VNode from render functions as well.

            Chrome Vue debugger for chrome-extensions?

I'm debugging an unpacked extension loaded from a folder. The page URL is chrome-extension://op... and the page uses Vue. The Vue chrome debugger extension shows "Vue JS not detected". I have enabled "Allow access to file URLs" for the extension but it still cannot detect Vue JS. Are chrome-extension URLS really inaccessible to Vue JS debugger? If so, how do I enable Vue debugger for extensions?

Vue add class before insert, leave it
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 15:23

I have a custom animation that the regular Vue transition doesn't quite cover. I have it implemented elsewhere with a conditional v-bind:class, but that doesn't work well for conditional v-if blocks or v-for groups.

I need to add a class ('open') one frame after the element is entered as with v-enter-to, but I need it to never be removed from the element.

I then need it removed removed when leaving to trigger the closing animation.

Am I using Vue Transition wrong and this is perfectly possible within transition, or is there a way to add/remove the class around the enter/leave functionality?

I could only think of a work-around. You could try to add the class in the created() or mounted() hook. Before you push another path to the router, you could remove it and add a fake timeout for the $router.push(path).

This is not clean but i am not sure if i fully understand what are you trying to do.
