            Migrating from Cordova to Capacitor
            Asked 2022-Feb-17 at 09:52

Hello i 've decided to migrate from Cordova to Capacitor on my Ionic/Angular project. I have created a new capacitor project following the instructions https://capacitorjs.com/docs/v2/getting-started/with-ionic

Now i have installed some plugins as you may see on the screenshot i attached.

I copy paste the app folder from my cordova project to my new capacitor app folder.

Obviously i am getting errors for the modules as you may see in the attached screenshot.

I don't expect anyone to solve me those, but can someone write me what will the next steps i should do? Tracking down node_modules one by one? Any suggestions will help me i am sure.

            Here is the app.module.ts

            Look at https://capacitorjs.com/cordova

            also https://ionicframework.com/docs/intro/upgrading-to-ionic-6

Your old plugin supports only cordova, you need to remove an old plugin and install a new plugin one by one.

I am currently working on a project and managed to clone the repository into my computer. I used npm install to download the packages. The moment I use ng serve the errors show up. The application Fails to compile, but still runs in localhost. I am not sure how to approach this error and how to overcome it. Project is currently running on Angular 8. Provided below is the package.json file and the error in question.

The errors you've shown are coming from the ngUniversal/common dependency, as you can see by the error messages. The dependency is set to next in your package.json. Try some specific version numbers until you get one that works. Do the same for any other packages with the same message. Versions can be found here: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@nguniversal/common

The first number is the major version, when that changes it indicates a breaking change.

            Error: not found: c:\python27\python.exe

some packages require python2.7; others look for python and will accept Python 3. It's a pain; especially for those of us that don't use Python otherwise. But your problem is basic - install Python and try again

Lazyload image in Vue/Nuxt gallery component
            Asked 2021-Aug-18 at 10:15

I'm trying to create a simple gallery component where if you click on some image a Light-Box will appear where you can see full size photo and have options like next and previous photo or close the Light-Box.

Currently When I need to change the image to next or previous I change the src of the img-tag and it works.

Here comes my problem. I want to lazy load my images. I use lazysizes in my project. So the simple implementation to have an image to load is to add the class "lazyload" and to pass the property data-src instead of src.

However if I change to data-src my methods for next and previous image are not working.

Also, on top of my comment, I do recommend looking into the official nuxt image module which do have native lazy loading out of the box: https://image.nuxtjs.org/components/nuxt-img

You could maybe combo this with some simple lightbox that does the trick for you. I've used vue-silentbox before, it is working pretty well.

You can have that kind of code there

Retry Resolver if ngrx data unavailable
            Asked 2021-Jul-03 at 11:45

I currently have a resolver for a details page that checks to see if part of the store is available before moving forward to that page

Every time there is a router action (at the moment I'm trying them all)

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jul-03 at 11:45

            The issue, (apart from my understanding of resolvers) was that;

I was checking for the data for the details page, but not checking that the main data had loaded, the data that the detail is extracted from.

I was trying to find a way to retry or make the resolver wait, but once I made it check for the main data, it waited anyway (hence my understanding of resolvers has improved)

As well, the reason the main data takes a little while to load, is because consumes 4 different endpoints, this by itself causes race conditions that needed to be looked into.

            The updated code:

I fixed it with a little help elsewhere. Seems I firstly forgot to import Reactive Forms, as I only had Forms imported.

Then I had some issues in regards to formData.append. I found a better solution to the coding I had done in that part and it works good. I also had some issue where I could not use response["result"]. But also found the solution for that with (response: any) => I don't know if I had typed something wrong on the form part, but it works now after copying something from StackBlitz.

            I went through the code.
We had same kind of issue with ipad2 which is a much slower machine.
You need to create an AOT build in order to run it smoothly in smaller devices.
Currently vendor.js have the whole angular library.
In brief, you need to optimise your production build.
If the problem still persists, start modularising your application.
It'll help in performance a lot.

Refer this to enable aot compilation in webpack.
