QUESTION
Google is sunsetting Google Analytics support from February, 2020.
After our service is fully turned down in February 2020, these legacy properties will no longer be accessible via the Google Analytics UI or API, and the associated data will be deleted from Google Analytics servers. In advance of this turndown, we recommend that you export the data so you can retrieve it later.
I wonder why I am still able to see analytics data in my Google Analytics dashboard?
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Nov-07 at 10:26The data is still obtainable from API (just tried):
Anyway anyway at the end of the link you entered it says:
This lead time of 12 months, beginning November 2018, was extended to you so you could make the transition to tracking your apps with the Firebase SDKs.
Therefore it may be unclear written documentation, in any case the migration process is inevitable considering that now Google are focusing everything on Google Analytics 4 with the aim of making it the reference system in the next 3 or 4 years.
QUESTION
I am working on a simple text editor that generates and exports files in Markdown, txt, HTML and PDF. This functionality is working like a charm already in the browser. But when it comes to 'app' I am building with MacGap, it doesn't work as expected, instead of downloading the files, it prints them in the same window or doesn't do anything (in the case of PDF).
MacGap has a way to handle write/read files as it is explained here but I am struggling with making it work with javascript.
Here is my code to export the text files:
...ANSWER
Answered 2020-Jun-25 at 09:08Update: MacGap is a great tool but it is a bit obsolete since it is built using objective-C. Those options are the only ones supported by MacGap, so file management is not possible. I ended up building and packaging my app with Electron js. Still the difference in size is insane, but it was the best solution.
MacGap app: 3.6MB
Electron js: 180.5MB
Same app. But, it is ok, hopefully the electron team manages to reduce the size in the future.
