Python/Docker ImportError: cannot import name 'json' from itsdangerous
            Asked 2022-Mar-31 at 12:49

I am trying to get a Flask and Docker application to work but when I try and run it using my docker-compose up command in my Visual Studio terminal, it gives me an ImportError called ImportError: cannot import name 'json' from itsdangerous. I have tried to look for possible solutions to this problem but as of right now there are not many on here or anywhere else. The only two solutions I could find are to change the current installation of MarkupSafe and itsdangerous to a higher version: https://serverfault.com/questions/1094062/from-itsdangerous-import-json-as-json-importerror-cannot-import-name-json-fr and another one on GitHub that tells me to essentially change the MarkUpSafe and itsdangerous installation again https://github.com/aws/aws-sam-cli/issues/3661, I have also tried to make a virtual environment named veganetworkscriptenv to install the packages but that has also failed as well. I am currently using Flask 2.0.0 and Docker 5.0.0 and the error occurs on line eight in vegamain.py.

Here is the full ImportError that I get when I try and run the program:

I was facing the same issue while running docker containers with flask.

I downgraded Flask to 1.1.4 and markupsafe to 2.0.1 which solved my issue.

my project was working fine, i copied it to an external drive and onto my laptop to work on the road, it worked fine. i copied back to my desktop and had a load of issues with invalid interpreters etc, so i made a new project and copied just the scripts in, made a new requirements.txt and installed all the packages, but when i run i get this error

Werkzeug released v2.1.0 today, removing werkzeug.security.safe_str_cmp.

You can probably resolve this issue by pinning Werkzeug~=2.0.0 in your requirements.txt file (or similar).

            1. if using bash just run NODE_OPTIONS=--openssl-legacy-provider before any command

            2. adding NODE_OPTIONS=--openssl-legacy-provider to package.json

            Asked 2022-Feb-13 at 04:42

I am building a Gatsby site. I upgraded Node.js to v17.0.1, and when I run a build, there is an error:

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2022-Jan-04 at 23:33

Gatsby must be using an algorithm or key size which is no longer allowed by default with OpenSSL 3.0.

            UPDATE ⚠️

This is most likely a webpack issue - https://github.com/webpack/webpack/issues/14532

They have since released a fix in version 5.61.0 - https://github.com/webpack/webpack/releases/tag/v5.61.0 - so upgrading webpack should address the issue as well

A member of the webpack team has stated they do not plan to backport the fix to webpack 4, so if you are on webpack 4 you may need to look to upgrading to webpack 5 first.

            From Node.js 17's announcement post:

If you hit an ERR_OSSL_EVP_UNSUPPORTED error in your application with Node.js 17, it’s likely that your application or a module you’re using is attempting to use an algorithm or key size which is no longer allowed by default with OpenSSL 3.0. A new command-line option, --openssl-legacy-provider, has been added to revert to the legacy provider as a temporary workaround for these tightened restrictions.

Running this on the terminal might look like:

django.conf.urls.url() was deprecated in Django 3.0, and is removed in Django 4.0+.

The easiest fix is to replace url() with re_path(). re_path uses regexes like url, so you only have to update the import and replace url with re_path.

Found this issue, pytube v11.0.1. It's a little late for me, but if no one has submitted a fix tomorrow I'll check it out.

            in C:\Python38\lib\site-packages\pytube\parser.py

            Change this line:

            152: func_regex = re.compile(r"function\([^)]+\)")

            to this:

            152: func_regex = re.compile(r"function\([^)]?\)")

The issue is that the regex expects a function with an argument, but I guess youtube added some src that includes non-paramterized functions.

Java 17: Maven doesn't give much information about the error that happened, why?
            Asked 2022-Feb-04 at 20:28

I'm upgrading from JDK 8 to JDK 17 and I'm trying to compile with mvn clean install -X -DskipTests and there's no information about the error.

Btw, I'm updating the dependencies and after that I compile to see if has errors. I need to update some dependencies such as Spring, Hibernate etc. I already updated Lombok.

I added the -X or -e option but I got the same result.

What can I do to get more information about the error? The log shows that it was loading hibernate-jpa-2.1-api before failed... so that means the problem is in this dependency?

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Oct-19 at 20:28

This failure is likely due to an issue between java 17 and older lombok versions. Building with java 17.0.1, lombok 1.18.20 and maven 3.8.1 caused a vague "Compilation failure" for me as well. I upgraded to maven 3.8.3 which also failed but provided this detail on the failure:

java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot read field "bindingsWhenTrue" because "currentBindings" is null

Searching for this failure message I found this issue on stackoverflow leading me to a bug in lombok. I upgraded to lombok 1.18.22 and that fixed the compilation failure for a successful build.
