kandi X-RAY | LinkedGeoData Summary

LinkedGeoData is a Java library typically used in Utilities, Data Manipulation applications. LinkedGeoData has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has build file available, it has a Strong Copyleft License and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

LinkedGeoData (LGD) is an effort to add a spatial dimension to the Web of Data / Semantic Web. LinkedGeoData uses the information collected by the OpenStreetMap project and makes it available as an RDF knowledge base according to the Linked Data principles. It interlinks this data with other knowledge bases in the Linking Open Data initiative. The project web site can be found here. If you are running Ubuntu then this repository contains everything you need to transform OpenStreetMap data to RDF yourself. For other systems please consider contributing adaptions of the existing scripts.

The difference is in the source of the data:

            1. The data in the SPARQL endpoint is based on an RDF dump which is more than one year old.

            2. The data that will be shown when you open the resource in the browser is provided by the SPARQL-SQL rewriter Sparqlify based on an periodically synchronized SQL dump, thus, the data is up-to-date with the OpenStreetMap SQL dataset. This data can also be queried via SPARQL using either the SPARQL service or the Web Interface.
