QUESTION
The problem is that the socket.io client establishes a connection to the server (behind nginx reverse proxy) but the "connect_error" callback is instantly triggered on the client. On localhost the server did just fine but on the server it doesn't establish a proper connection.
Additional Information:
The socket.io server and reverse proxy are both dockerized. The TCP Handshake seems to work but the problem is that the "connect_error" callback is instantly accessed and the client starts reconnecting over and over again.
Client Code:
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-May-13 at 18:41The problem was that the client and server were not compatible, because the nestjs dependencies of socket.io depend on version 2.x.x of socket.io and the client (version 3 of socket.io) tried reconnecting over and over again but there was no clear sign why this would happen until I found an issue referring to that on Github. Nestjs had announced to support socket.io version 3 in their next major release (v 8) until then there is an adapter code you can use: https://github.com/nestjs/nest/issues/5676

QUESTION
I am trying to call a service, but inside the service Android Studio in the onStartCommand() Android Studio says unreachable statement
when I register the LocationManager.
Which is weird because I call onStartCommand() in my MainActivity.
I have the service in the android manifest.
When I use the onCreate() method in the service there seems to be a name conflict with the onCreate() method in the MainActivity.
ANSWER
Answered 2020-Apr-07 at 20:19The comments are correct, I had the return-statement return super.onStartCommand(intent, flags, startId);
in the onStartCommand method before an instruction and thus this instruction was unreachable.

You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the GPSService component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
