I created an app using the app drawer layout activity as my main activity. The app has always worked fine for me but I keep seeing this crash report from users: Here is the stack trace:

Okay. I eventually borrowed an Galaxy S7 to test it on as I saw all Galaxys were crashing. I ran the app in debug mode and everything was fine. On a hunch I installed it from the play store and it crashed on startup. This led me to think it had something to do with a change in the release build.
