            Vulnerabilities

An issue was discovered in io/gpx/GPXDocumentReader.java in TuxGuitar 1.5.4. It uses misconfigured XML parsers, leading to XXE while loading GP6 (.gpx) and GP7 (.gp) tablature files.
TuxGuitar 1.2 places a zero-length directory name in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH, which allows local users to gain privileges via a Trojan horse shared library in the current working directory.

            Install tuxguitar

You can download it from GitHub.
You can use tuxguitar like any standard Java library. Please include the the jar files in your classpath. You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the tuxguitar component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
