Adobe AIR Flex : Dynamically change the width of VGroup
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 12:30

We have a Adobe AIR desktop application. In the window there is a topbar with some buttons. The central button opens a dropdown popup always at the horizontal center of the screen. Previously there was no scrolbar and the topbar and the popup was always aligned horizontally. But now we have introduced horizontal and vertical scrollbars and hence when the window is resized, the topbar is not at the center of the active window and hence it's not aligned with the popup.

Please check the pictures. The topbar -

            The popup -

If the window is maximized in the horizontal side, then the topbar and the popup is aligned.

This is the default behavior. When you show a popup, you tell it where to be places in .y and .x . When you scroll or resize you effectively change the "center" of the window, but you never inform it that it has changed.

What I would try is adding a listener for window resize and onChange re-center the popup.

You are not returning the Promise axios.get(..).then(..) creates in getPatientList({ commit }, date) and thus the then() in your Component is immediately called. Change getPatientList to:

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-10 at 05:45

This happens because of the elevation that TopAppBar and BottomNavigation have by default and because you are using a semitransparent color as primary color in your theme.

            You can:

            • remove the elevation: TopAppBar(elevation = 0.dp)
            • use a solid background color
            • try to convert the semitransparent color to the non transparent one with something like: TopAppBar(backgroundColor = Color(0xD9FFFFFF).compositeOver(Color.White))

CSS to fit sidebar under topbar
            Asked 2021-Jun-06 at 10:59

I need to create an empty topbar and an empty sidebar as below. I want to stack them neatly so that the top of the sidebar touches the bottom of the topbar. For that, I am using percentage. However, I just can't get them to do that.

I saw some other threads suggesting to set html and body with height: 100%; and width : 100%. But in my app, the layout below is not in the main html document.

I tend to use flex box for this, Maybe grid would be smarter though. I took also care of some scrolling things. Using min with and height 0 on flex parents is key for that.

One potential problem could be with your Java package structure. Spring Boot does by default only look for annotated within the Java package (and it's children) that contains the Application class.

If your OktaService is in a location of your package structure, then it won't be found by default. As an example, if you have Application in com.example.myapp.ui and OktaService in com.example.myapp.service, then it won't work. If this is the case, then you can either change your package structure or set the scanBasePackages property in @SpringBootApplication to define a location that covers the entire application.

You move your .my-container to the right by giving it a margin-left of 250px

When you toggle the .active-cont class on the .my-container, it gains a margin-left value of 0

When you toggle the same class on the .sidebar, there is no margin moving out of the way, so it just stays right in front.

You can solve this by giving the .sidebar a default margin: -200px or whatever the width of your sidebar is. That way when you toggle the class, both elements will shift to the left.

You could also solve it by giving the .active-cont a z-index: 1.

Use a grid layout with flex on the logo element. using grid-layout you can express how wide you want the columns to be using grid-template-columns: then call the grid-area on each selector with in the grid parent. You may need to tweak a bit to your liking depending on what view ports you are going for.

Use flex on child items you wish to align in a row. Simple Ul/li for links...
