I have a custom View called CustomProgressBar. I want to have a wheelView that will have a list of CustomProgressBar Views as its data.

this is how a CustomProgressBar looks:

and this is how I want my WheelView to look (not exactly, but this is the idea):

I want the border of the selected CustomProgressBar to expand when onScroll, and re-shrink when selected.

Only if possible I'd like it to be in 3D, like in here (only the 3D effect, not the look)

So, to conclude, I want a 3D WheelPicker that can carry my CustomProgressBar View Items, and I want the selected-items border to be custom and animated to expand on scroll and re-shrink on the selected item.

I would combine RecyclerView with CarouselLayoutManager.

I have used it before and it works great, in your recyclerView you can put any type of view (In your case just put your CustomProgressBar)

Your getMovieData() return empty list as enqueue is asynchronous. That's why data not populated in your view.

Try using LiveData.

I'm experimenting with this project: https://github.com/maarek/android-wheel/blob/master/wheel-demo/src/kankan/wheel/demo/extended/PasswActivity.java

I've been trying to implement the following:

1) set the wheel to land on the number 5 (or any other number)

2) scroll the wheel for about 2 seconds

3) after spinning stops (could be any number of rotations through 0 to 9) the value shown is what's set in step 1

my work so far:

public void setCurrentItem(int index, boolean animated) method of WheelView will smoothly scroll to given item and then stop if you pass true for animated value.

I have a problem. I can't attach progressbar to my activity when data loading from Firebase database. I tried to attach progressbar via Asynctask, put firebase listener into AsyncTask doInBackGround, set visibility in PreExecute and PostExecute methods, but progressbar doesn't appear. Any help appreciated.
