Answered 2019-Nov-11 at 17:32remove the pom
from your pom.xml
and then run mvn clean install
it should work
you have used packaging type pom, you should use the jar, The default packaging type is jar, If you don't have any it will use packaging as jar
The packaging type of a Maven project specifies the type of artifact the project produces. There are many built-in Maven packaging types (for example, jar, war, and ear).
A pom type is packaging a kind container of submodules, a submodule is represented by a subdirectory in the same directory

Install spring-boot-learning
You can use spring-boot-learning like any standard Java library. Please include the the jar files in your classpath. You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the spring-boot-learning component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
