kandi X-RAY | cf-env Summary
A small library for parsing the Cloud Foundry environment variables. Cloud Foundry defines a number of environment variables, but at the moment, we only parse VCAP_SERVICES. We list the bound services by name, exposing the metadata and credentials for each, and provide convenient access to any SSL keys and certificates encoded in the credentials.

QUESTION
The apt-buildpack is experimental and not yet intended for production use. I guess that's why also no documentation.
...ANSWER
Answered 2017-Oct-14 at 02:38As far as usage goes it's pretty simple, you just need to include an Aptfile
in the root directory of your app. That should contain a list of packages to install, one package on each line.

QUESTION
I am trying to migrate my MongoDB container by following the Swisscom tutorial.
I am currently stuck because I cannot do the mongodump
command
ANSWER
Answered 2018-Jan-03 at 08:29You must execute mongodump locally, not on the app container. The ssh connection is only opened to establish a tunnel (kind of a tcp port forwarding). The rest of the commands need to be executed in a separate terminal locally.

Install cf-env
You can use cf-env like any standard Java library. Please include the the jar files in your classpath. You can also use any IDE and you can run and debug the cf-env component as you would do with any other Java program. Best practice is to use a build tool that supports dependency management such as Maven or Gradle. For Maven installation, please refer maven.apache.org. For Gradle installation, please refer gradle.org .
