MVC Controller not mapping input parameter

I am doing a post request which is correct (I have proven it in the pic below), yet MVC is not mapping it to my model, even though Newtonsoft.Json class is able to map my post data to the same data model without issue. How do I debug this further?

Meson / Ninja build system - How to run custom script at Uninstall?
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 18:46

Meson/Ninja provide an easy method to run a script at install time.
For example, this line will tell Meson to run the glib-compile-schemas command to compile the GSettings on Linux (system configuration options).

            meson.add_install_script('glib-compile-schemas', schemas_dir)
(this command will be automatically run when the user executes ninja install)

How can I tell Meson to run a custom command at uninstall?
In this specific case I would like to delete (or at least reset to default) the key-value pairs in GSettings. To reset them, I have found that the command is gsettings reset-recursively (successfully tested in terminal).

Adding custom uninstall script is still being discussed, it's proposed quite some time ago but not yet implemented. It looks this task is typically left for package manager (and therefore to corresponding packaged scripts).

But I agree, there is some illogical asymmetry in case of meson install command. As a workaround, you can create your own target:

QtTest under PyQt5 fails when widgets-under-test have to be visible to work
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 17:01

I've started to create UI tests for my PyQt5 widgets using QtTest but have run into the following difficulties:

            • In order to speed up things, some of my widgets only perform operations when visible. As it seems that QtTest runs with invisible widgets, the corresponding tests fail.

            • For the same reason, I cannot test program logic that makes a subwidget visible under certain conditions.

Is there a way to make widgets visible during test? Is this good practice (e.g. w.r.t. CI test on GitHub) and is QtTest the way to go?

I have tried to use pytest with pytest-qt without success as I couldn't find a proper introduction or tutorial and I do know "Test PyQt GUIs with QTest and unittest".

Below you find a MWE consisting of a widget mwe_qt_widget.MyWidget with a combobox, a pushbutton and a label that gets updated by the other two subwidgets:

The problem is simple: QWidgets are hidden by default so isVisible() will return false, the solution is to invoke the show() method in init() to make it visible:

If this isn't going to throw an exception then I don't know what is going to.

This is caused by using blocking code within Netty's event loop.

The code over here is making a blocking request 20 times in a row which cause the machine to break. I don't know what data is coming from the client but I would never recommend to do it in this manner.

            Apache Beam SIGKILL
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 13:51

            The Question

How do I best execute memory-intensive pipelines in Apache Beam?

            Background

I've written a pipeline that takes the Naemura Bird dataset and converts the images and annotations to TF Records with TF Examples of the required format for the TF object detection API.

I tested the pipeline using DirectRunner with a small subset of images (4 or 5) and it worked fine.

            The Problem

When running the pipeline with a bigger data set (day 1 of 3, ~21GB) it crashes after a while with a non-descriptive SIGKILL. I do see a memory peak before the crash and assume that the process is killed because of a too high memory load.

I ran the pipeline through strace. These are the last lines in the trace:

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 13:51

Multiple things could cause this behaviour, because the pipeline runs fine with less Data, analysing what has changed could lead us to a resolution.

Option 1 : clean your input data

The third line of the logs you provide might indicate that you're processing unclean data in your bigger pipeline mmap(NULL, could mean that | "Get Content" >> beam.Map(lambda x: x.read_utf8()) is trying to read a null value.

Is there an empty file somewhere ? Are your files utf8 encoded ?

Option 2 : use smaller files as input

I'm guessing using the fileio.ReadMatches() will try to load into memory the whole file, if your file is bigger than your memory, this could lead to errors. Can you split your data into smaller files ?

            Option 3 : use a bigger infrastructure

If files are too big for your current machine with a DirectRunner you could try to use an on-demand infrastructure using another runner on the Cloud such as DataflowRunner

This seems like a bug introduced by a bug fix in this ticket. The result was wrong for outer joins. Hence the need to add a Project node (packing of the struct) before the Join node.

However, we end up with this kind of query plan:

.Net Core Entity Framework Email Confirmation 'Click Here' link does not update 'EmailConfirmed' DB property
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 11:59

I have setup SendGrid for my user registration email confirmation in my .Net 5.0 app as per Microsofts instructions here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=532713

Everything works fine until the user clicks the confirmation link in their register confirmation email.

This issue is being caused by a stray amp in my confirmation link. I am trying to understand where it is coming from and how to remove it.

When the new user clicks 'Submit' on the Register.cshtml page they are successfully directed to the RegisterConfirmation.cshtml page and the email is received in their inbox.

            Actual behavior:

The user clicks the link in the email and hits the ConfirmEmail page.

The user is redirected to /Index page.

The EmailConfirmed bool in the DB is not updated.

If I comment out the redirect to /Index in my controller, then I get a null value error shown below.
