            Azure Devps: How to specify Data Factory Parameters for Pipeline and Link Services
            Asked 2020-Mar-18 at 21:41

            I am trying to build a release pipeline for azure data factory. I have parameterized link service like database with username and server-name. Also, I have specified some pipeline parameters.

            In azure devops release pipeline, these parameters do not appear in template parameters list. However link services connection string uses them which cause the deployment to fail.

            The SQl connection string format is: Integrated Security=False;Encrypt=True;Connection Timeout=30;Data Source=@{linkedService().SQLDBServer};Initial Catalog=TESTDB;User ID=@{linkedService().SQLDBUserName}

            Now, the deployment throws exception for SQLDBServer and SQLDBuserName

            My question is that how to I specify/replace pipeline or link-services connection parameters in release pipeline?

            I found that using arm-template-parameters-definition.json file I can use parameters defined in pipeline.

            In-memory testing using Jersey Test Framework, TestNG and Maven
            Asked 2017-Nov-12 at 08:07

            I am building a web project which uses Maven for building and uses Jersey for RESTful API. I have written unit tests using TestNG and Jersey Test Framework and am running them in-memory and not on a web server.

            In my tests I make a JDBC call to my MySQL database and get some results. The tests run fine when I run from within Eclipse using the TestNG for Eclipse plugin. However, when I try running from Maven using either of the two commands:

            There are several issues with your pom.xml file.

            First the scope for mysql-connector-java in dependencyManagement section is defined incorrectly:

            Install Link-Service

            There's a built-in tool that both provides an interactive shell and that runs an HTTPS server the client can communicate with for testing. To start it, just run:. By default, this will start the HTTPS server listening on port 8002 with a self-signed certificate. In order to use this server for developing with FrankerFaceZ, you'll need to ensure your browser will accept self-signed certificates for localhost. That may involve visiting https://localhost:8002 in your browser and making an exception for the certificate. Once you've done that, you can go to Debugging > Data Sources in the FrankerFaceZ client and change the Link Resolver to localhost to start making requests to the local server. At that point, you just pick a URL for testing or enter a custom URL and you go to work implementing your custom resolver.
