            QUESTION

Query to Find Adjacent Records in Access 2016
            Asked 2021-Jun-11 at 08:36

I have a table with a field called Result that contains values that can be anywhere between 1 and 100.

The table also contains a Date/Time field and is sorted from oldest to newest.

I want to be able to return adjacent records that have a Result of less than 3.

So, I need to first find a record with a Result that is less than 3 then check if the next records also have a Result of less than 3. If they do these records should be returned.

There may be no such adjacent records or there may be multiple records that meet this criteria.

            Is this possible?

I've put together a short piece of code that loops the original data, ordered by the date field, and if it finds a result of less than 3, checks the following results until one of them is 3 or more. It adds all of the ID fields to a string, which can then be used as the SQL for a query.

You can use cv2.fitEllipse on your detected contour. There's an OpenCV tutorial on that topic. You get the center of the fitted ellipse, the length of both axes (please have a detailed look at cv2.ellipse), and the rotation angle. From that information, it's just some math to get the principal axis through the center.

Instead of wrapping with as.list, directly use the colnames because according to ?strsplit, the input x would be

x - character vector, each element of which is to be split. Other inputs, including a factor, will give an error.

Thus, if it is a list, it is not the expected input class for strsplit

            How do I display a keyboard on-screen?
            Asked 2020-Dec-22 at 07:39

My problem is that I want to show a keyboard to users that shows all keys on the keyboard and highlights certain keys. For my purpose, I want to show:

            • some keys with black backgrounds
            • some keys with white backgrounds
            • and some keys with grey backgrounds

The black and white keys will be playable as piano keys in a program that I'm working on. Some context is that I am already using pygame to detect key press input.

Also the keyboard that users have on t heir computer varies. It can be qwerty azerty depending upon their hardware.

When I looked into the pygame docs they only provide general primitives like drawing sprites, putting them in groups etc. I don't see any pre-baked resources for a keyboard.

            ANSWER

            Answered 2020-Dec-22 at 07:39

One can do this by using the python library keyboardlayout. Using it one can show an qwerty or azerty layout and this example highlights specifc keys by passing in the overrides argument. It works with pygame and tkinter.

            Here's how you use it:

            1. Decide which layout you want to show, qwerty or azerty_laptop. That is the layout_name input
            2. Decide how big you want your keyboard to be. You control the size by setting the size of a single letter key, and that size (and a padding input) determines the whole keyboard size. The size input for a key is letter_key_size and it needs you to pass in (width_size_px, height_size_px).
            3. Decide what settings you want for the keyboard. Specifically, where (x, y) do you want it, what color should it be, what padding should it have in pixels? All of those settings are stored in the KeyboardInfo class instance. Remember that in pygame, (0, 0) is the top left and x increases to the right and y increases moving downward.
            4. Decide what settings you want to use display the keys, specifically: margin between keys in pixels, background color, text color, font, and padding from the key edges to the text in pixels. All of that info is stored in the KeyInfo class instance.
            5. Once you instantiate KeyInfo, KeyboardInfo, and set letter_key_size and layout_name you use that information to instantiate an actual KeyboardLayout class instance. That instance contains the keyboard image that you want to draw. It's also a pygame.sprite.Group so to display it we use the normal pygame method sprite_group.draw(screen).

Gathering that all together and putting it into action we get:

Your list of times isn't an ideal format, so I'll show you the approach for one date, where the dataframe h23 is manually built. You could code this to build out a dataframe that holds all of the times if you want.

The basic premise is to make a dataframe h23 for example, with all of the timestamps of the photos. Use this to merge with the df timestamp, using pd.merge_asof which has the ability to do the closest time match. nearest means the actual time could be before of after, but there are options for backward and forward as well if the time needs to be the nearest time before the event.

Qt uses its own meta object system. That is why you need MOC and the Q_OBJECT macro. So Qt "knows" which properties each object has during runtime and uses that knowledge for QML as well.

On the C++ side you can see this through QObject::property():

Returns the value of the object's name property. If no such property exists, the returned variant is invalid. Information about all available properties is provided through the metaObject() and dynamicPropertyNames().

Note that the properties an object has are independent of its type (see above reference to dynamic properties). The type of an object reference/pointer doesn't matter when accessing the object's properties - the correct meta object and list of properties will always be retrieved.

There is also a qobject_cast that makes use of the meta object system to downcast objects.

            Answered 2020-Jul-09 at 20:37

Any solution needs to accommodate the fact that the values of all of a given class's parameters are determined the first time a declaration of that class is evaluated, whether the declaration is a resource-like one or an include-like one. Multiple declarations are permitted only if all those evaluated after the first use one of the include-like forms, and this is among the reasons that resource-like class declarations should be avoided under most circumstances.

There are various ways to take those considerations into account. One would be to invert the logic: instead of having all each daemon::X class declare daemon::conf, declare it once, centrally, and pass it a list of roles to configure. Let it then declare appropriate daemon::conf::X classes based on the role list:
