non-existent div error with generated div IDs
            Asked 2018-Mar-01 at 00:03

I need to generate divs on-the-fly which will contain dygraphs. However with the code below I am getting the dreaded non-existent div error from dygraphs at compile time. If I hard-code "Chart_0" as shown (div ID and dygraph target) everything works well.

How do I time this correctly in react? I have no idea of knowing how many divs and charts will be needed at compile time, this has to be decided at run time.

Going by the console.log() statements in the code, in the javascript console I see:

I was unable to find working code anywhere on this topic, but I came up with a fairly straightforward answer/layout that works. Seems to be a common enough question so I posted it here. If you've come here looking for an answer to the same question it may help.

The code is similar to that posted above in the question. The answer probably lies somewhere deep in the greasy grimy gopher guts of the react component lifecycle, not sure.
