            Asked 2021-Feb-20 at 00:03

I accidently commited a large file and now i'm stuck. I first tried this method: Fixing the "this is larger than GitHub's recommended maximum file size of 50.00 MB" error and received this message: "Cannot rewrite branches: You have unstaged changes." Since there was no indication if this was an error or informational message, i tried pushing again. Failed with the same error. and yes there are several similioar questions, but the solutions they present and i've tried do not work.

Increase max file upload size in K8s Cluster deployed with Azure (Project in ASP.NET Core w/ C# and React)
            Asked 2020-Sep-28 at 15:34

How do I increase the file upload size limit in Azure? It's capped at around 1MB. I tried looking through the various settings in the Azure portal and could not find anything. I believe the issue is with the cloud environment as I have no problems locally.

I have a web app in C# which uses ASP.NET Core and React with .tsx. When I run the program locally, I can upload files up to 28MB in size, which is the default limit for ASP.NET Core. However, when I deploy using Azure to the K8s cluster (Kubernetes Service), the web app can only upload files up to around 1MB in size.

I can upload a 984KB .jpg file. When I try uploading a 1,043KB .png (or anything larger), the response is

            413 Request Entity Too Large

            nginx/1.17.7

I've seen this question's solution which is

The files object I was looping over in the posted code snippet was a IList type, which I was getting by casting the Request.Form.Files in the controller. Why I was doing this, I can't recall. Anyway, leaving the file list as the default IFormFileCollection that it gets bound to by MVC (the type on Request.Form.Files) seems to fix it. It also solved another problem I was having of certain file extensions not uploading.

However, I use IFormFile to upload throughout with no casting. The front end .tsx has a form with a dropzone input component. The change event e.currentTarget.files returns a FileList. The upload file command and controller both exclusively use IFormFile and the IFileSystem.

You did not provide much details, so I guess you're using a default setup that looks like this:

            • You have one nginx ingress service
            • Your apps are running behind this proxy

As you can see in your error message, the problem is NOT you asp.net core app but the nginx ingress in front of it.

To solve it, you've to configure your nginx ingress to allow bigger uploads.

In our configuration this looks like so

The simple answer is it was running in 32bit (x86) which doesn't have enough allocation for 50,000,000+ samples.

Instead, changing the program to x64 has solved that specific problem.

How is full screen rectangle determined?
            Asked 2020-Jul-24 at 13:42

I try to layout three JPanels in a way that the left panel takes up about 66% of the width, and two other panels share the other 33%.
In order to properly calculate the layout, I ran into this interesting behaviour where the screen size is correctly determined as 4K resolution.
However, the ComponentEvent reports only 2575x1415, although the JFrame opens in full screen as set via extended state. Minimizing/Maximizing the JFRame makes it go to min size and to full screen size, but the reported size stays the same.
            Why is that?

            ANSWER

            Answered 2020-Jul-24 at 13:42

            So the answer really is:

DisplayMode returns the original screen size.
ComponentEvent returns a rectangle that takes scaling of the OS into account.

So that at least is settled.

I read here that storage limit on AWS Databricks is 5TB for individual file and we can store as many files as we want So does the same limit apply to Azure Databricks? or, is there some other limit applied on Azure Databricks?

            Databricks documentation states:

Support only files less than 2GB in size. If you use local file I/O APIs to read or write files larger than 2GB you might see corrupted files. Instead, access files larger than 2GB using the DBFS CLI, dbutils

python-ldap: Retrieve only a few entries from LDAP search
            Asked 2020-May-16 at 13:55

I wish to mimic the ldapsearch -z flag behavior of retrieving only a specific amount of entries from LDAP using python-ldap.

However, it keeps failing with the exception SIZELIMIT_EXCEEDED.

There are multiple links where the problem is reported, but the suggested solution doesn't seem to work

            Python-ldap search: Size Limit Exceeded

            LDAP: ldap.SIZELIMIT_EXCEEDED

I am using search_ext_s() with sizelimit parameter set to 1, which I am sure is not more than the server limit

On Wireshark, I see that 1 entry is returned and the server raises SIZELIMIT_EXCEEDED. This is the same as ldapsearch -z behavior

But the following line raises an exception and I don't know how to retrieve the returned entry

            Answered 2018-Sep-24 at 13:20

You have to use the async search method LDAPObject.search_ext() and separate collect the results with LDAPObject.result() until the exception ldap.SIZELIMIT_EXCEEDED is raised.
