I've been dealing with an error in one procedure, where the querie where I declare the cursor is giving an error, it says that I'm missing an END but I see all my queries close and in the appropriate place. Do you see what I'm forgetting?

There are numerous syntax errors in your procedure. Here's what I see so far:

            • All DECLARE statements must be before all other statements (as noted in the comment from @Luuk above).
            • Mixing up vNameCountry and @vNameCountry. In MySQL these are two separate variables.
            • Many of your statements are missing needed semicolon termination.
            • The IF is missing its needed END IF.
            • Invalid use of GROUP BY.
            • Invalid use of LIKE wildcards.

Besides this, I don't see any need for a cursor in this procedure at all.

The procedure would be far simpler as a single query like this:

How to adjust a Shiny Dashboard's size to fit different screen sizes?
            Asked 2022-Mar-03 at 12:18

I have a shiny app with this basic layout that I wrote on my desktop computer where it fits the screen perfectly. However, when running the app on my notebook it'll only show the top left boxes- so the app is way to big for the screen. Upon pressing Ctrl - it will obviously become smaller but still about a quarter of the bottom row is cut off and pressing Ctrl - again the app only fills half the screen. Now I want to provide this app as a feedback tool for my study participants and it's safe to assume they will access it from different sized screens aswell. So I was wondering if there was any way to automatically adjust the box sizes to the size of the screen, no matter its size. I came up with the idea that maybe the mistake was setting the box heights to a fixed value (i.e. height = 300), but my attempt of changing it to 30% revealed that that's not a thing you can do. I read over some CSS-related questions on this site aswell but didn't find anything that worked here either (I know very little CSS though, so I might have missed something there). Does anyone have an idea how to fix that issue?

This solution might help you. I'm not very well versed in CSS so I don't think it is the most elegant way but it works. Try nesting your shinydashboard::box()'s in a div() with class that changes the size based on screensize.

            Inconsistent frame number with ffmpeg
            Asked 2022-Jan-16 at 00:46

I'm having regularly issue with hvc1 videos getting an inconsistent number of frames between ffprobe info and FFmpeg info, and I would like to know what could be the reason for this issue and how if it's possible to solve it without re-encoding the video.

I wrote the following sample script with a test video I have

I split the video into 5-sec segments and I get ffprobe giving the expected video length but FFmpeg gave 3 frames less than expected on every segment but the first one.

The issue is exactly the same if I split by 10 seconds or any split, I always lose 3 frames.

I noted that the first segment is always 3 frames smaller (on ffprobe) than the other ones and it's the only consistent one.

Here is an example script I wrote to test this issue :

The source of the differences is that FFprobe counts the discarded packets, and FFmpeg doesn't count the discarded packets as frames.

Your results are consistent with video stream that is created with 3 B-Frames (3 consecutive B-Frames for every P-Frame or I-Frame).

            According to Wikipedia:

I‑frames are the least compressible but don't require other video frames to decode.
P‑frames can use data from previous frames to decompress and are more compressible than I‑frames.
B‑frames can use both previous and forward frames for data reference to get the highest amount of data compression.

When splitting a video with P-Frame and B-Frame into segments without re-encoding, the dependency chain breaks.

            • There are (almost) always frames that depends upon frames from the previous segment or the next segment.
            • The above frames are kept, but the matching packets are marked as "discarded" (marked with AV_PKT_FLAG_DISCARD flag).

For the purpose of working on the same dataset, we my build synthetic video (to be used as input).

For H.264, nvenc has a max. resolution limit of 4096x4096. Use a software encoder like libx264. But note that a resolution of 7200x3600 is beyond the limit of any valid H.264 level so hope your target player doesn't care. Or use HEVC with different parameters.

libav producing MP4 file with extremely high frame rate
            Asked 2021-Dec-03 at 08:11

I am trying to write a program to generate frames to be encoded via ffmpeg/libav into an mp4 file with a single h264 stream. I found these two examples and am sort of trying to merge them together to make what I want: [video transcoder] [raw MPEG1 encoder]

I have been able to get video output (green circle changing size), but no matter how I set the PTS values of the frames or what time_base I specify in the AVCodecContext or AVStream, I'm getting frame rates of about 7000-15000 instead of 60, resulting in a video file that lasts 70ms instead of 1000 frames / 60 fps = 166 seconds. Every time I change some of my code, the frame rate changes a little bit, almost as if it's reading from uninitialized memory. Other references to an issue like this on StackOverflow seem to be related to incorrectly set PTS values; however, I've tried printing out all the PTS, DTS, and time base values I can find and they all seem normal. Here's my proof-of-concept code (with the error catching stuff around the libav calls removed for clarity):

You are getting high frame rate because you have failed to set packet duration.

            • Set the time_base to higher resolution (like 1/60000) as described here:

If you are reading JPEGs, PNGs, or video into OpenCV, it will hold them in memory in BGR channel ordering. If you are feeding such frames into ffmpeg you must either:

            • convert the frames to RGB first inside OpenCV with cv2.cvtColor(... cv2.COLOR_BGR2RGB) before sending to ffmpeg, or
            • tell ffmpeg that the frames are in BGR order by putting -pix_fmt bgr24 before the input specifier, i.e. before -i -
