kandi X-RAY | smooth Summary

smooth is a JavaScript library typically used in Web Services, REST applications. smooth has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities, it has a Permissive License and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

Smooth provides a way of developing JSON APIs on top of SQL Databases that is, well, smooth. Smooth provides a ruby library and a front end graphical application that make the process of developing APIs for your web and mobile applications really productive. A resource is, generally, a database backed collection of models. A resource can be accessed by users who have different roles and relations to the data. A resource is accessed in one of two ways: queries, and commands. The resource can be presented in different views. As a developer you get API interface inspection capabilities for free by coding your API in the smooth style. These capabilities can give you a lot of power for your every day development practice. Generating documentation, generating custom querying and reporting tools, generating API client libraries, generating automated test code, and a number of other tasks become much much easier. In smooth we develop resources by describing or declaring data about the different functions an API client will need access to to provide its users the means of interacting with their data that they need. Commands handle API requests whose intent is to change data in the resource. A user updating their profile. A person adding a new recipe to their cookbook. A moderator removing a rude comment on their blog.

Magnification Windows API - How to add Smoothing/Anti Aliasing
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 20:44

            Context

Since Windows 10 version 2004 update, the Magnifier windows application was updated. And as with every update, there are some issues with it.

Since those issues might take a long time to fix, I've decided to implement my own small project full screen magnifier.

I've been developing in c#, .Net 4.6 using the Magnification API from windows magnification.dll . All went good and well, and the main functionality is now implemented. One thing is missing though, a smoothing Mode for pixelated content... Windows Magnifier implements an anti aliasing/ smoothing to the Zoomed in content.

I've checked and the Magnification API, doesn't seem to provide that option.

how do i add smoothing mode to magnifier on windows magnification API?

I'm aware of pixel smoothing methods, but not familiar with win32 API to know where to hook the smoothing method to, before the screen refreshes.

            EDIT:

Thanks to @IInspectable answer, after a small search i found this call to the Magnification API in a python project.

Based on that, I wrote this snippet in my C# application , and it works as intended!

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 17:03

There is no public interface in the Magnification API that allows clients to apply filtering (other than color transforms). This used to be possible, but the MagSetImageScalingCallback API was deprecated in Windows 7:

This function works only when Desktop Window Manager (DWM) is off.

Even if it is still available, it will no longer work as designed. From Desktop Window Manager is always on:

In Windows 8, Desktop Window Manager (DWM) is always ON and cannot be disabled by end users and apps.

With that, you're pretty much out of luck trying to replicate the results of the Magnifier application's upscaler using the Magnification API.

The Magnifier application appears to be using undocumented API calls to accomplish the upscaling effects. Running dumpbin /IMPORTS magnify.exe | findstr "Mag" lists some of the public APIs, as well as the following:

            • MagSetLensUseBitmapSmoothing
            • MagSetFullscreenUseBitmapSmoothing

Unless you are willing to reverse-engineer those API calls, you're going to have to spend your time on another project, or look into a different solution.

A note on the upscaling algorithm: If you look closely you'll notice that the upscaled image doesn't exhibit any of the artifacts associated with smoothing algorithms.

The image isn't blurred in any way. Instead, it shows sharp edges everywhere. I don't know what upscaling algorithm is at work here. Wikipedia's entry on Pixel-art scaling algorithms lists some that have very similar properties. It might well be one of those, or a modified version thereof.

When I click on the 'add item' button, I create a new card with image. However, when I add another card for the second time, my image from the first card that I created will disappear. Can someone help me on how to fix this solution. Thank you.

Generally, if there are any incompatibility between TF, CUDA and cuDNN version you can observed this behavior.

For GeForce RTX 3060, support starts from CUDA 11.x. Once you upgrade to TF2.4 or TF2.5 your issue will be resolved.

You could try using element.scrollTop to save the position of the scrollbar and then use the saved value to set the scrollTop property to where it was when the timed function is called.

Change from Long to Int of `rowid` at Room Database w/ FTS4
            Asked 2021-Jun-15 at 04:11

I am updating my app with new library releases and I got an issue with my database. The released app currently using Room version 2.2.6 with FTS4. Currently having LONG for rowid. The app runs smooth and no problem. But I want to use Room version 2.3.0 and according to the docs:

An FTS entity table always has a column named rowid that is the equivalent of an INTEGER PRIMARY KEY index. Therefore, an FTS entity can only have a single field annotated with PrimaryKey, it must be named rowid and must be of INTEGER affinity. The field can be optionally omitted in the class but can still be used in queries.

I should use INT not LONG.

            ...

            ANSWER

            Answered 2021-Jun-15 at 04:11

An FTS entity table always has a column named rowid that is the equivalent of an INTEGER PRIMARY KEY index.

In brief SQLite's INTEGER does not imply a Java/Kotlin Integer/Int/int it is a column affinity/type.

If you look at the Datatypes in SQLite3 then an INTEGER can be up to 8 bytes (64 bit signed). Which in Java/Kotlin is long/Long.

Further evidence can be seen with the SQLiteDatabase insert convenience method as it returns the id (rowid) of the inserted row not as an int but as a long.

Returns long - the row ID of the newly inserted row, or -1 if an error occurred.

SQLiteAutoincrement explains about rowid and that in theory it can be from 1-9223372036854775807 (you can even have negative values).

As such, it is wrong to use int/Int/Integer for the rowid as in theory (not that likely in practice), the rowid can be larger than an int/Int/Integer.

I should use INT not LONG.

I'd suggest that you should use Long. It makes no difference to the data as SQLite will store an integer in as little space as it can. Furthermore, it makes no difference to the table(s) that room creates as the COLUMN TYPE will be INTEGER.

How to create an indefinite smooth-scrolling list of images in Flutter?
            Asked 2021-Jun-14 at 21:06

I am trying to dynamically add items to the list in Flutter so this list runs indefinitely. (I am trying to achieve this using a ListView.builder and the Future class).

The end-effect I am seeking is an endless auto-scrolling of randomly generated images along the screen at a smooth rate (kind of like a news ticker).

Is this possible? I have been reworking for ages (trying AnimatedList etc) but cant seem to make it work!

Would love any help to solve this problem or ideas.

In the following example code, which you can also run in DartPad, a new item is added to the list every two seconds. The ScrollController is then used to scroll to the end of the list within one second.

The timer is only used to continuously add random items to the list, you could, of course, listen to a stream (or similar) instead.

            Answered 2021-Jun-13 at 19:12

You should not be drawing on the Form's Canvas from outside of its OnPaint event at all. All of the drawing should be in the OnPaint event only. Have your timer save the desired information into variables that the Form can access, and then Invalidate() the Form, and let its OnPaint event draw the image using the latest saved information.

Alternatively, simply display your BMP inside a TImage control, and then have the timer set that control's Left/Top/Width/Height properties as needed. Let the TImage handle the drawing of the image for you.
