You should be able to run according to this documentation from ansible. Do note however; this module is deprecated in ansible 2.4 and above as the documentation itself dictates. Use the docker_container
task if you want to run containers instead. The links are available in said documentation link.
As far as your questions go:
Can ansible discover the docker image from the docker hub registry by itself?
This would depend on the client machine that you will run it on. By default, docker will point to it's own docker hub registry unless you specifically log in to another repository. If you use the public repo (which it looks like in your link) and the client is able to go out online to said repo you should be fine.
Does this actually start the jaegar daemons or does it just build the image? If it's the latter, how can I run the container?
According to the docker_container documentation you should be able to run the container directly from this task. This would mean that you are good to go.
P.S.: The image
parameter on that page tells us that:
Repository path and tag used to create the container. If an image is not found or pull is true, the image will be pulled from the registry. If no tag is included, 'latest' will be used.
In other words, with a small adjustment to your task you should be fine.

- Create Repo in Azure DevOps.
- Write automated script(code) so it saves current Kibana Dashboard Saved Object into Azure DevOps.
In this way, I have old Dashboard in the repo. Has anyone done this? It doesn't have to be Azure DevOps, if you have any experience with it, please share with me. I am new to version control.

If you have old Dashboard in the azure devops repo, just clone the old json files to the local and update the json files and push it to the azure devops by git command line. Or you could modify the json files in the azure devops repo UI directly.

Answered 2020-Apr-29 at 13:37There are two ways of adding Worker nodes to your EKS cluster:
- Launch and register workers on your own (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/launch-workers.html)
- Use managed node groups (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/eks/latest/userguide/managed-node-groups.html)
As I can see from your template, you are using the first approach by now. Important when doing this is, that you need to wait until the EKS Cluster is ready and in state active, before launching the worker nodes. You can achieve this by using the DependsOn Attribute. If this does not resolve your issues, have a look at the cloud init logs (/var/log/cloud-init-output.log) to check what is happening while joining the cluster.
If you would like to use Managed Node Groups, just remove the AutoScaling Group and LaunchConfiguration and use this type instead: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSCloudFormation/latest/UserGuide/aws-resource-eks-nodegroup.html The benefit is, that AWS takes care of creating the required resources (AutoScaling Group and LaunchTemplate) in your account for you and you can see the Node Group in the AWS Console.

I have a Spring Boot application that is using logback for application logs. Now I've added support for logz.io to centralize the logs from multiple machines to one place. The problem is that I can't know which log is coming from which machine.
In the application database, I have a unique token that is unique for every machine where the application is running. My idea is to pre-append that token value to every log message so I can differentiate which client is sending which logs.
I can access the token value through a method in the repository that extends the JpaRepository
.
Logback configuration is done through the logback.xml
Edit: Each client uses its own H2 database where the value is stored.
Example of a message I currently have:
