How to write Haskell-style function application in Antlr
            Asked 2021-Dec-09 at 13:59

I'm trying to write a Haskell-style language parser in ANTLR4, but I'm having some issues with function application. It parses as right associative rather than left associative

As @sepp2k pointed out, | expression expression will correct your issue.

ANTLR defaults to left associativity., but you were overriding that with the (expression)+ in trying to gather all the expressions.

Of course, this will give you a parse tree of (expr (expr (expr f) (expr "a")) (expr "b"))

but this is probably more in keeping with a Haskell approach to function application than just a list of expressions.

BTW, precedence only comes into play when operators are involved. Having StringLiteral before LSquareParen his no effect on precedence since there's no ambiguity in determining the correct parse tree to derive. You may find that your OperatorApplicationExpresion alternative gives "surprising" results as it will evaluate all operators left-to-right, so a + b * c will be evaluated as "(a + b) * c" and this violates arithmetic norms (maybe it's what you want however).

Variable used before being initialized error (Swift)
            Asked 2021-Jul-30 at 14:13

I keep receiving an error/lint which reads Variable 'self.item' used before being initialized. This message only appears when I seemingly add a @State of type Date (see commented line below).

Variable item is a CoreData value that I'm attempting to update through a form. All of the other required data types (int, string, data, etc.) all work as expected.

I'm fairly confident that this is an issue which stems from my lack of experience with Swift or declarative-style languages in general, but I'm also wary that it could be a compiler issue as I seem to run into a few of those as well.

            Install react-redux-landing-page

This project was seeded with Create React App. That provided a basic React application skeleton, including Babel to transpile ES2015 JavaScript to ES5 and Webpack pre-configured to manage both development and production builds. Also available in this seed project are a number of packages that the Facebook Team has found useful. I'm not sure how I ever lived without Autoprefixer. It allows me to write my CSS rules without worrying about vendor prefixes, then--when Webpack builds the project--the appropriate vendor prefixes are automatically inserted into the minified CSS. Very cool!. I added the redux and react-redux packages to the project in order to connect locally-stored data to my React components. With an eye toward using Bootstrap in this project, and following the Create React App documentation for extending the initial seed, I installed node-sass and npm-run-all, then added scripts to the package.json file to watch and build the SCSS files. The Create React App documentation currently (March 2017) provides instructions for adding Bootstrap 3 to a React project, but I wanted to start using Bootstrap 4. To accomplish this, I instead followed the Getting Started instructions for reactstrap, a package that provides Bootstrap 4 components and styles. With Bootstrap at Alpha 6, I wouldn't yet use it on a client project, but I'm very excited about its new features. I especially wanted to become familiar with the new Card component, and to check out Bootstrap's move to SASS and positioning with Flexbox. Font Awesome is awesome. With React, I like the react-fontawsome package. It provides the Font Awesome icons as React components, making them very easy to use. The package does not include the Font Awesome CSS or fonts themselves; they needed to be downloaded and included in the project. I integrated Google Analytics into the project with react-ga.
