Solution: Change the api key in androidManifest.xml

It seems like there was an issue with the api key. I switch the new key with an old one and it works well now. I can not tell you, why it is blurred instead of showing gray screen like usual.

How to detect overflow in a nested div (React)?
            Asked 2021-Jan-25 at 14:41

I want to create a div, which shows blurr on the bottom of the div (when overflow exists). The issue is that the div contains props.children, which also consist of other components / html tags inside.

I tried using ref (React.useRef), but the ref is set even before the children are renderen. I tried using useEffect with the ref, but still when I use for example element.current.scrollbarHeight I get 0.

How can I check if the rendered div (with children) has overflow? (I am using a functional component)

It's not possible to know if arbitrary children are fully rendered without each one offering specialized callbacks. As such, it might be better to watch elements for size changes.

We can use ResizeObserver to our advantage here.

            • I want to demonstrate the Gaussian Kernel used in openCV. cv2.GaussianBlurr(img, kernel_size, sigma) for explanation purposes.
            • I know how to demonstrate the image which results after applying the blur, and that is not my objective here.
            • My objective is to demonstrate the kernel automatically for any used sigma, and any used kernel size!
            • I have seen a code(mentioned down) but I prefer to use something more related to instruction used in OpenCV, rather than just a general mathematical dependent approach.

You need to have a really low quality version of the image in your database (or if you embed it directly -> in your assets). Then you can load the smaller image and blur it using CSS blur().

When the fully sized image is loaded, you can hide the small image. To get some ideas on how to check for that, I found this stackoverflow thread: How to create a JavaScript callback for knowing when an image is loaded?

The selection in your case is the Chart itself, and nothing will be increase n its dimensions. And the code must paste the picture in the increased chart... Otherwise, any increase does not help.

            1. In OpenCV, you can use Mat constructor to specify the size (height, width, channels) of the Mat, and the memory will be allocated. You are using the default constructor, which does not initialize the object.

            2. There are different ways to access the pixel values. You could use the Mat .at() method, you can access the raw data pointer... Besides from the Mat reference (check link), you can find more information here or here.

            3. By default, I think VideoCapture converts the frames to the BGR colorspace, so you will have 3 channels (blue, green, red). You can also check the number of channels and other information from the Mat object directly (check documentation link).

Losing image quality after resizing it
            Asked 2020-May-06 at 06:24

Hello guys i have following problem. On my website a user have the ability to upload images. That images are gonna get resized because of size and space on disk etc.

I am using sharp to resize the image: https://www.npmjs.com/package/sharp

In my test, i uploaded a image ~3000x2000, it is getting resized to 600x600. I also resize it to 300x300 and 120x120. At 120x120 the image looks just blurr..

Here is the image, not resized. This image is 3000x2000 but is resized to ~600x600 with the browser:

And here is the image resized with Sharp to 600x600:

As you can see the image below has a lower quality. Why is that?

Here is the part that is resizing my image:

The problem to me looks like one of compression quality. JPEG is a lossy format, which means that data is thrown out in order to get smaller file sizes. This introduces artifacts, which are imperfections in the image.

In the first image, an artifact that is 10x10 pixels may end up being less than a single pixel in size when it's downsized. In the second image, a 10x10 pixel artifact is much more noticeable because its actually 10x10 pixels on your screen.

Looking at the documentation there is a quality option:

            options.quality integer 1-100 (optional, default 80)

You could try a quality setting of 90, or even 100, and that should give you a larger file size, but less noticeable compression artifacts.

You could also try PNG format which is a lossless format, meaning the pixels being displayed are not altered. However, the file size will be much larger.
