Create-React-App with TypeScript failing to compile after importing Semantic UI

I've created a new React app by running npx create-react-app@latest --typescript . and I've run the project using npm start and it all works as expected. I ran npm install semantic-ui-react semantic-ui-css and that installs correctly.

But when I add import 'semantic-ui-css/semantic.min.css'; to index.tsx as instructed, I get a failed to compile error.

Judging from this issue: CSS import breaks webpack 5 compilation
I believe this is an issue with Semantic-UI-React and Webpack 5 (which is used by Create-React-App).

The final answer in that issue is a suggestion to switch to Fomantic-UI 😅

This should be reported into the upstream repo: https://github.com/Semantic-Org/Semantic-UI. The problem is that it's dead 🙄 Reasonable solution is to switch to https://github.com/fomantic/Fomantic-UI.

Error when trying to run my React Native app on Android
            Asked 2022-Mar-06 at 07:58

I've built my React Native app and tested and troubleshooted with my iOS devices for months. Now I'm trying to built and test the app on Android for the first time. The thing is, that I keep getting errors trying to run the Android-version of my app. After hours of debugging and troubleshooting, I tried to create a new RN project and see if that could run on my emulator and device. I got that part working and then I wanted to copy/paste the files of my existing app project into the new project.

I pasted my existing assets, styles, the source JS-files and the package.json file into the new project, ran npm install and then I ended up with the exact same error message as I had in the original project when I run react-native run-android.

The full error message is here:

I've hit this same issue and have temporarily resolved it by uninstalling react-native-video (npm uninstall --save react-native-video). That's not a great answer as I need that component, but I don't have a full solution yet. I think somehow com.yqritc:android-scalablevideoview:1.0.4. is required by react-native-video but has gotten lost or removed. Other thoughts are welcome.

UPDATE: Resolved! In your build.gradle in your Android folder you need to add the repository "jcenter()" in allprojects (not in build dependencies) like this...

I think this gets you pretty close; might just need to adjust the various name columns and drop the extra data (I kept the grouping column).

The main idea is to recursively use pd.json_normalize with pd.concat for all availalable children levels.

EDIT: Put everything into a single function and added section to collapse the name columns like the expected output.

Just remove the "extractCss": true from your production environment, it will resolve the problem.

The reason about it is extractCss is deprecated, and it's value is true by default. See more here: Extracting CSS into JS with Angular 11 (deprecated extractCss)

I am new to flutter and recently tried to develop a test app for learning sake with latest version Flutter 2.5. By looking at some tutorial online, I have added flutter_native_splash: ^1.2.3 package for splash screen. And works fine.

To avoid that warning you just need to remove that API usage from your project. Remove these lines of code from the AndroidManifest.xml file.

Previously, Android Flutter apps would either set io.flutter.embedding.android.SplashScreenDrawable in their application manifest, or implement provideSplashScreen within their Flutter Activity. This would be shown momentarily in between the time after the Android launch screen is shown and when Flutter has drawn the first frame. This is no longer needed and is deprecated – Flutter now automatically keeps the Android launch screen displayed until Flutter has drawn the first frame. Developers should instead remove the usage of these APIs. - source

            UPDATE (FLUTTER 2.8.0)

As per the flutter 2.8.0 update, The newly created project doesn't have this warning.

They removed unused API from Androidmanifest.yml but still have belove mentioned code.

Can you compress angular image assets on build?
            Asked 2022-Jan-15 at 12:13
            What I want

I have very big images in my assets, which slows down the site by a lot for slower networks. (you can read more about the topic on this lighthouse linked page)

            • I would like to compress them at build time (ng build --prod).
            • For local development, it is irrelevant (ng serve).
            • Optimally I would like to generate multiple versions for different screen sizes (example.jpg → should become: example_x265.jpg, example_x128.jpg, ...)
            What I have tried

The most promising guide I have found for that is this one here, which describes how to use the imagemin package in combination with the ngx-build-plus package.

Unfortunately, after following the tutorial, I get the following error:
