kandi X-RAY | nanodlna Summary

nanodlna is a Perl library. nanodlna has no bugs, it has no vulnerabilities and it has low support. You can download it from GitHub.

This is the smallest UPnP/DLNA server that I could find. Its function is to provide a file list to a Media Renderer. It’s just 200 lines of Perl. It doesn’t use indexing, databases, inotify or any bloated stuff like that. It just serves the directory you ask it to, no questions asked. It doesn’t even actually serve the files, you need a separate HTTP server for that (see below for the reason). Searching is also unsupported.

            Install nanodlna

You need a couple Perl modules from CPAN. Have a look at the use lines at the top of the .pl files to see what is needed. Note that you’ll need a recent version of Dancer2. v0.152000 didn’t work for me, but v0.200002 did. You’ll also need an HTTP server to serve your files.
