What is the PHP-Auto-Scalar?. The PHP-Auto-Scalar is a PHP "module" that automatically increases or decreases the number of Web Role instaces in a Windows Azure deployment based on the performace of the instances. The module is intended to run in a Windows Azure Worker Role as part of a Windows Azure deployment (although it can be run locally as well). Much of the code for this module is based on the 4 part tutorial that starts here: I suggest reading through the tutorial to get a better idea of how scaling works for PHP in Azure.
