I have two functions one thats triggered on a mouseenter event and the other on mouseleave. Both of these functions are repeated three times.

On mouseenter the classlist "active" is addded 5x and the text content is changed. On mouseleave the classlist active is removed 5x and the text content is set to an empty string, and the original image is displayed again.

When the mouseenter event listener is triggered, Depending on which image is being hovered (3 images).
the text content property that gets added various between the three "Photosnap" "Dine" "Nike".
As-well as the background color that gets triggered various between "red" "blue" "pink".

Hover state shown as red left image and normal state shown as right image
-The image shown here is one of three. It is displayed with a red background and the text content of "photosnap".
-The other with a blue background and the text content of "Dine".
-The third and final with a pink background and the text content of "Nike".

I hope this paints a clear picture i am having a hard time making this a code snippet.

I am trying to refactor this javascript so its not so repetitive. I'm new to javascript and having a hard time getting this to work as something other than what i currently have. I'm not clear on how to make a function that i can call inside of other functions to cut down on the repeated code. Or possibly use the "this" keyword ?

VBA - NULL values in Listview

I've created a simple VBA interface to connect Excel to a MySQL DB. The VBA part acts as a preview of data for the user to choose what item he wants to import to the Excel sheet.

Until now I've work with a very complete set of data, but I got to a Table which (because of the nature of the items) some fields are NULL.

Now every time I try to check the values in the VBA I get the Run-time error 13 Type mismatch in the listview component. At first I though it was a field with DECIMAL typing, but after changing it to a DOUBLE (for testing) the problem persisted, and it was until I notice that if only checks columns with no NULL value, the problem disappears. Off course I can't omit this values.

I tried some .Tostring functions but with no success. And I failed to implement a IF to check for NULL in the obj.

If you don't want to add a IsNull-function in you SQL (as Nathan_Sav suggested as a comment): There is a IsNull-function in VBA. With that, you can create a simple function that returns for example an empty string (or a 0 or whatever you prefer):

Dataset looks like this : This is a sample dataset for number of employee login activity named - activity

I need to calculate few metrics, was able to do in python data frames, but new in mySQL.

what is the average number of employee active per day for month of jan 2018 by dept ( was able to do somewhat half of it, but results coming are not correct.
number of unique active employee (login >0) per month for jan 2018 for each dept_id (was able to do it)
month over month growth for all dept_id from dec-2017 to jan 2018 where at least one employee was active (login >0) - no idea how to do this in sql
fraction of users who were active in each dept_id for dec 2017 and were also active in the same dept_id for jan 2018
how many employee login in on 3 or more consecutive days in jan 2018

Any help would be appreciated.

And the date is a keyword in oracle but not sure in MYSQL so use it in quotes like "date".

I'm working on a Chrome extension that integrates with a website. My users can do actions on this website when they are logged in to it.

I have a Socket.IO server that delivers commands to my Chrome extension. Once a command arrived, the extension invokes a local function from the host website. Then, the host website, which has an authenticated active session with its own API, will invoke some update/insert call.

I recently realized a potential security issue, which is - if anyone spoofs my server address on my extension clients organization, he can easily abuse it to send his own parameters on behalf of my server (image 2).

Is there any smart way to ensure my client communicates with the real server and not an imposter?

Use HTTPS secured connection.

This is one of the features of HTTPS (SSL/TLS) - it can prevent a MITM attack and prevent the destination server from being impersonated.

Problem with RecyclerView and Navigation Drawer

I'm doing a Group Chat with Firebase and currently I'm using a RecyclerView to display chat messages and I'm having a problem. When you open the app in the fragmented home and you go to chat activity and start chatting (adding elements to recycler view) all goes fine. But, when you go via the NavigationDrawer to another fragment and get back to the chat fragment using again this Navigation Drawer. When you add one element in the chat it appears all in the blank it just displays the last message. Anybody knows why does this happens?

To solve your problem you can just remove the OnResume method because you are initializing the array every time you change between fragments and that is the problem.
