I am working on a weather app and to add some spice I was thinking on adding a Weather Map, so reached over to https://openweathermap.org/api/weathermaps and got a URL with the image. I researched for many methods on displaying that image on a Tkinter Widget but none of them work. It displays the size of the image but not the image itself. This is my code. Thank you very much.

            ANSWER

            Answered 2019-Dec-22 at 06:02

Before the request finishes you already set this.state.data inside Content to null and it will not get updated when the component re-renders because the constructor only runs once on mount.

Setting state from props is an anti pattern and should be used only in rare situations.

Instead, read the weather data from this.props which will get updated once the parent component updates his state

You would also need to check if this.props.weather is null before you access .main inside this.props.weather

Importing API Values from one JS into another NODEjs
            Asked 2019-Dec-06 at 12:36

so I am trying to import API data from one JS file into another but I keep getting undefined or just errors. The variables I am trying to import are Weather, City and Temperature from the weathermap.js into the app.js. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it to do with how I'm exporting from weathermap.js or how I'm importing into app.js??

            ANSWER

            Answered 2019-Dec-06 at 11:36

You are getting undefined because you are calling the async API in the weathermap.js file. Which will wait for the request to complete. So use the async/await or Promise .then callback to wait for the api to complete the call.

I would like to convert my existing for-loop map to use map.find().

As seen below the WeatherTree.search checks against the year variable but WeatherMap also checks against the same year variable.

The below portion of the map is found in Menu.cpp.

            ANSWER

            Answered 2019-Nov-20 at 11:18

First your should know map::find() works by comparing keys of the map to a given query. So you can't using find() to compare months since month is not the key of you map.

Note: Possibly you don't need WeatherTree since you are using year as a key saving Weather records.

            What you can do:

            Method 1:

Keep your current map definition not changed. And iterate in the corresponding Weather set once you are sure the year exists.

As this data is provided as a List and you are trying to convert it into the Map. That is not right. You need to get it (weather) as a list of Map and then need to treat each element as Map. Here is an example how to get it as a Map
