Yocto - ERROR: Layer directory '\' does not exist
            Asked 2021-May-16 at 01:52

I am very new to Yocto.

The aim is to customize a build for a particular embedded device. I am using Ubuntu 18.04 as the build host. An SDK has already been provided for the device with all the Yocto layers etc. which I cloned, and now following instructions.

When I get to the stage to actually run the build with command as follows bitbake tr-bundle-sdk

I receive the following error :

            ...

BitBake add tmux package to image
            Asked 2019-Dec-13 at 14:30

I'm trying to add the tmux package to the image that I build with BitBake.

The recipe for tmux is known to bitbake:

The issue was that the board I thought I was flashing was booting from NAND instead of the SD card that I was using. It has a small hardware-switch to chose where to boot from so I never actually booted the Image that I presumed included tmux.

As described by Parthiban you can verify that the binaries included with IMAGE_INSTALL_append are actually included, have a look at image/*/rootfs.

            Install meta-rauc

You can download it from GitHub.
PHP requires the Visual C runtime (CRT). The Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 is suitable for all these PHP versions, see visualstudio.microsoft.com. You MUST download the x86 CRT for PHP x86 builds and the x64 CRT for PHP x64 builds. The CRT installer supports the /quiet and /norestart command-line switches, so you can also script it.
