How to deploy Selenium Grid in Azure DevTestLabs
            Asked 2019-Oct-07 at 16:53

I'm trying to execute remote selenium tests via Azure.

To do this, I used https://github.com/Azure/azure-devtestlab/tree/master/samples/DevTestLabs/QuickStartTemplates/201-dtl-create-lab-with-seleniumgrid

I create a custom template with the selenium server standalone jar file and installed the Chocolatey Packages, which contains the node and hub artifacts.

I started the virtual machines (the hub and the node). And downloaded the java standalone jar file manually in each vm, and at the command prompt I started each one with the proper commands:

            Hub:

Well I were able to find the answer to this question. The problem wasn't in the portal azure side but in my virtual machine.

I read a lot of forums and issues on github and another questions here. And finally I found one about a firewall issue.

What did I just do? On my virtual machine I:

            1. Went to Windows Firewall with Advanced Security
            2. Clicked on Windows Firewall Properties
            3. On Private and Public Profile I changed the state of the firewall to Off.
            4. Click on Apply and OK

Then, for the Hub configuration you can write a json file and save it in the same path as the selenium server. The file should contains something like this:

Unable to resize the reference VM once the lab has been created
            Asked 2019-Sep-30 at 18:21

In Azure Lab Services, the Classroom Labs, I cannot resize the reference VM once the lab has been created. I need this because I've fully configured a reference VM and now have released that I require to bump the spec of the VM from Standard to Performance.

The labs portal UI doesn't expose this functionality, nor does the Az.LabsServices posh module. I've tried saving my changes into an image in a Shared gallery and then reference that image on creating a new lab with the new specs. The problem with this new lab was that the machine didn't inherit all of the registry modifications and main user settings from the saved image. Unless there is a specific undocumented reason why these VM can't be resized, they should adhere to the REST endpoint capabilities described in azure documentation. The API calls that I've tried are various combinations of following:

Unfortunately resizing the template VM is not supported. Shared image gallery only supports generalized images which requires sysprep and hence the settings are lost. We will take this scenario as a feature suggestion.

Powershell script does not finish when started from Task Scheduler

I have a powershell script from here:
