QUESTION
I am using the Google TextToSpeech API in Node.js to generate speech from text. I was able to get an output file with the same name as the text that is generated for the speech. However, I need to tweak this a bit. I wish I could generate multiple files at the same time. The point is that I have, for example, 5 words (or sentences) to generate, e.g. cat, dog, house, sky, sun. I would like to generate them each to a separate file: cat.wav, dog.wav, etc.
I also want the application to be able to read these words from the * .txt file (each word/sentence on a separate line of the * .txt file).
Is there such a possibility? Below I am pasting the * .js file code and the * .json file code that I am using.
*.js
...ANSWER
Answered 2021-Apr-27 at 16:58Here ya go - I haven't tested it, but this should show how to read a text file, split into each line, then run tts over it with a set concurrency. It uses the p-any and filenamify npm packages which you'll need to add to your project. Note that google may have API throttling or rate limits that I didn't take into account here - may consider using p-throttle library if that's a concern.

I've been searching around and have had no luck, first I found someone saying I should add -Xmx2G
to the beginning of a string in mcp.cfg
Here it is before and after
CmdFernflower = %s -jar %s -din=1 -rbr=1 -dgs=1 -asc=1 -rsy=1 -iec=1 -jvn=1 -log=TRACE {extra} {indir} {outdir}
CmdFernflower = %s -Xmx2G -jar %s -din=1 -rbr=1 -dgs=1 -asc=1 -rsy=1 -iec=1 -jvn=1 -log=TRACE {extra} {indir} {outdir}
after I added that it gave me another error:

It's very similar to the old error and not the same as the first error I got when adding -Xmx2G
Strangely enough, I don't get this error in 1.7.10 (mcp908) and can edit the game fine, I was also able to go in the Wayback machine and use 1.8 (mcp910?) can somebody please help?
Thanks, Arik

Answered 2018-Mar-11 at 12:08You could make your program receive a file as an argument and read it. The file would have one or more lines depending the number of arguments you'd like to pass to the program.
Your program would need to receive the file and parse it line by line.

I've used Microsoft Speech previously (not sure which version it was) with .net framework

tried searching around the net, none useful found.

Answered 2019-May-01 at 08:21With help from EMBT, I found a solution from https://blog.grijjy.com/2017/01/09/cross-platform-text-to-speech/ It is a good solution to mine. Just wondered why EMBT NOT do this? Encapsulating such simple and important function to a special group directly from iOS/OSX foundations is easy,handy but important for developers using Delphi. FireMonkey has no such functions. Don't know what to say about this. EMBT seems having difficulty to find the key point as always.
QUESTION
I got text2speech working, but I want to use GET
method how can I do it?
I mean I want to convert text2speech by URL like this:
http://localhost/txt2speech/v.php?textbox=Hello Word
If I enter that URL in the browser I expect it to play the audio.
I can successfully convert text into speech, however the problem is it plays the same file.
EXAMPLE
If I send http://localhost/txt2speech/v.php?textbox=HelloWord and after that if I send http://localhost/txt2speech/v.php?textbox=SecondString
It plays HelloWorld, but I expect it to play SecondString
However if I try in a different window it will play the SecondString
file.
I have another problem. It will not work if I pass a string with a space in it.

Answered 2019-Jan-02 at 18:45I figured out the issue and I'll put it here for anyone sharing my problem. I was using JDK 10, and that caused a lot of version errors. I downloaded JDK and JRE 8, adjusted my system variables to account for it, deleted the failure MCP eclipse workspaces, redownloaded MCP and once again ran decompile.bat this time with Java 8. It worked perfectly.
Here is the download link for the version of Java 8 I used: https://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

Install text2speech
You can use text2speech like any standard Python library. You will need to make sure that you have a development environment consisting of a Python distribution including header files, a compiler, pip, and git installed. Make sure that your pip, setuptools, and wheel are up to date. When using pip it is generally recommended to install packages in a virtual environment to avoid changes to the system.
